Abstract:
The pyrolysis process of larch wood was studied by thermogravimetric analysis at different heating rates(20,30,40,50 degrees ℃/min) under nitrogen atmosphere.Different methods for kinetic analysis were used to analyze the main pyrolysis phase of larch wood,and the similarities between these methods were briefly discussed.The pyrolysis process of larch wood could be divided into four stages: pre-heating,pre-pyrolysis,pyrolysis and post-pyrolysis.The linear fitting results by Freeman-Carroll method showed that the main pyrolysis stage for larch wood could be described by a first-order reaction,and the activation energy was approximately 100kJ/mol,which was close to the activation energy calculated by Achar-Brindley-Sharp-Wendworth method.The activation energies obtained from Zivkovic and Coats-Redfern methods were very close.The frequency factor values attained by different mathematical analysis methods were greatly varied.
