Translation Methods Applied to Agricultural Texts

With the fast development of international agricultural exchange, the translation of agricultural texts is of more importance than ever before and accounts for a noticeable part in translation business. The application of translation methods to agricultural texts must be carried out in a proper way in order to guarantee high quality and satisfactory communications. This paper discusses the two major translation methods, which are semantic translation and communicative translation, and points out that a clear understanding of both the text form and the characteristics of each translation method will be an essential part in the translation process.
