On the Utilization of Flood Water Resources in Chongqing Province

The water resource in Chongqing is ample,but it isn't well-distributed in space and time.Because of the natural geography conditions,there are many disasters like drought and flood.Therefore it is important to make full use of flood resources and realize the flood recycling.In the text,the author elucidates what is flood control.Then the author illustrates the flood characteristics in Chongqing and discusses and puts forward the measures and paths of flood control,for example,repair and reinforce the existing in- adequate water reservoir,carry on the comprehensive management of the rivers,construct water engineering to relocate water across different districts and different river valleys,construct city rain-flood engineering etc.There are still many possible non-engineering management of the flood control.These managements have special meanings for Chongqing as a way to search for a flood control way which is based on technique,economy and ecosystem environment.
