Abstract:Calcium as one of the essential plant nutrients plays a key role in plant physiology and biochemistry activities.Fluo-3 AM-ester was used as an indicator to detect the calcium ion signal characteristics in fruit and petiole of peach with Laser Scanning Confocal Microscope(LSCM).The result showed that Fluo-3 AM-ester could act as the indicator to visualize the intensity and its distribution of Ca2+ Fluorescent signal.No significant difference in intensity was observed with 10× and 20× objectives.The signal was detected mainly in vascular bundle in petiole,but in cell wall in flesh.The intensity was stronger in petiole than in flesh,contributing to its functional roles in different tissues.
