Application of A New Digital Breeding Method to Improving Tomato Variety Jinfanqie 1

In this paper,the author described a new breeding method 'Digital Breeding' , which was summarized by the author according to his own over 10 years' breeding experience and the new method was applied to improving tomato variety Jinfanqie 1. The experimental result showed this new method could make the breeding objective clearer, breeding strategy more scientific, combinations more accurate and breeding speed faster.It curbed the randomness and blindness of selection and combinations in breeding action and could realize the expected breeding objective in the shortest time and the lowest investment .
