Necessity and Teaching Experience of Offering Grass Resource Science Course for Grassland Science Specialty

According to the teaching experiences from Grass Resources Science in grassland science major of South China Agricultural University,the concepts and implications of ′grass resources′ and ′grass resource science′ were summarized.It was pointed out that there were some difficulties in grass resource classification and the confusions in the use of plant name.Meanwhile,the analysis and discussions,involving the establishment of teaching system,the teaching method reformation,the new inflorescence concept,and the important teaching content were conducted.Finally,the importance of practical teaching was emphasized in the process of teaching this course.
