Abstract:To understand the effect of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi on the growth of perennial gramineous forages commonly used in the restoration of degraded alpine grassland,pots based experiments were performed to explore the effects on plant height,biomass,and root development of Agropyron cristatum,Elymus sibiricus'Qingmu No.1',Festuca kryloviana,Poa crymophila,Elymus sibiricus'Chuancao No 2'and Elymus nutans'Aba'of two AM fungi Glomus intraradices and Glomus mosseae.The results showed that six gramineous forages can be infected by both Glomus intraradices and Glomus mosseae;The effect on the height of six gramineous forages of two AM fungi was not significant,but the aboveground and underground biomass of six gramineous forages can be significantly increased;The total root length of Glomus intraradices and Glomus mosseae were significantly higher than that of Control Check except for Festuca kryloviana and Poa crymophila (P<0.05);The total root surface area,total root volume,total root tip number and branch number of six gramineous forages were promoted by Glomus intraradices and Glomus mosseae,but there was no effect on the average root diameter.It can be seen that the growth of six perennial gramineous forages can be promoted by arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi.
