Comparative Study on the Determination of Total Nitrogen in Organic Fertilizer by Elemental Analyzer and Automatic Kjeldahl Method

As an important source of organic fertilizer nutrients,nitrogen content is an important index for evaluating the quality of organic fertilizers.In this paper,ordinary commercially available organic fertilizers are used as samples,and the elemental analyzer and automatic Kjeldahl nitrogen analyzer are used to determine the total nitrogen content of organic fertilizers.This provides a reliable method for determining the total nitrogen content of organic fertilizers by using two different analysis and testing methods.Technical support.Each analysis test method of the sample is repeated 5 times.The results showed that the total nitrogen content of organic fertilizers determined by the elemental analyzer and the automatic Kjeldahl nitrogen analyzer were 0.597%and 0.495%,respectively,and the relative standard deviations were 0.33%and 0.67%,respectively.These two analysis methods determine the total nitrogen content in organic fertilizers with high precision and the stability of the instruments and equipment.The two results are slightly different.
