无籽西瓜新品种菊城无籽6号的选育

菊城无籽6号是以四倍体1084为母本,优良自交系开封74号为父本杂交育成的无籽西瓜新品种。晚熟,果实发育期34d左右。生长势健壮,易坐果。果实圆球形,果皮黑色,皮厚1.3cm,皮硬韧,耐贮运;瓜瓤红色,中心可溶性固形物11.7%;瓤质硬脆,无籽性好,风味纯正,品质优。单果质量7kg左右,采用普通栽培方式667m2产量4000kg以上。适宜河南省及周边地区栽培。

A New Triploid Seedless Watermelon Variety——Jucheng Wuzi No.6

Jucheng Wuzi No.6 is a new triploid seedless watermelon developed by crossing the tetraploid line 1084 as female parent with the diploid line Kaifeng 74 as male parent.Jucheng Wuzi 6 is easy to set fruit and the fruit matures about 34 days from pollination.The average fruit is about 7 kg and 667 m2 yield is above 4 000 kg in open field.The fruit is globe shaped with dark green skin.The thickness of rind is 1.3 cm with good durability.The flesh is bright red with fine texture and low frequency of hard seed coat.The soluble solid is usually 11.7%.It is suitable for cultivation in Henan province and the surrounding areas.
