The seed coad surface of C.pentagona was observed under SEM.The main results obtainedare as follows:Hilum is collar-shaped and its hilum-rim gully broad.Cells of hilum-rim arc radiativcly ar-ranged with yarn-like appearance.Spcrmodcrm surface shows the pattern of reticulate on which there aretuberculate or yarn-like structure.The surface characteristics of seeds may be considered as the basis foridentification of dodder species. |
