| Abstract: | Two experiments with nonhcading Chinese cabbage at high temperature were con-ducted in the summer of 1988. The injury to the roots in transplanting was greater than thatin direct seeding at high temperature. Seedlings of direct seedling were more heat-tolerantthan transplanted seedlings. The difference between seedlings of direct seeding and oftransplanting was decreased at normal temperature. The response of heat-tolerantcultivars to transplanting was lower than that of heat sensitive cultivars. The results ob-tained in the fields coincided with those in the control experiment. |
