| Abstract: | A pot experiment with 9 Zn levels (0, 5, 10, 50, 150, 1000, 5000 and 10000 ppm) was made after one rotation cycle of rice-wheat in 1988-1989. Each Zn level represented the Zn content in different natural calcareous purple soils. Morphologocal observation, soil and plant chemical analysis and biological and biochemical index determination were combined to diagnosis the Zn status of the crop. The critical values of Zn for wheat and rice on calcareous soils were estimsted. |
