| Abstract: | As an important ecological factor, fire affects the balance of forest ecosystem. This paper introduces the concept and describes the theoretical basis on fi re in forest management. Fire in forest management, including prescribed burning and controlled burning, is used different ways due to different management purposes. Finally, it is showed the problems of prescribed burning and controlled burning application and research. |
