Impacted by hard relation between supply and demand,energy price rising and input increase for prodcution of bio-fuels by USA,price rising will be a general trend for farming products over the world.Limited by multi-elements of natural resources,cultivated land and water resources,food production in Shanxi has been considerably restricted to meet the food demand year to year and there will be a rather big lap between production and demand for a long time in Shanxi.Solution to overcome the food shortage is to stable the food crop cultivated land area,to strengthen farm land water conservancy installation,to develop special farming and to play a full role of science-technology in production increase and increment.
