Abstract:Objective To study the effect of sodium naringenin monosulfate (SNMS) on thrombosis and platelet aggregation. Methods Thirty SD rats were randomly divided into SNMS1 (5 mg/kg), SNMS2 (10 mg/kg), Xueshuantong (30 mg/kg), heparin (1600 U/kg) and control groups, each of 6 ainmals. The thrombosis in the carotid artery was observed by thrombometer after intravenous injection of various drugs. Whole blood was detected by Chrono-log Platelet Aggregation System after treated with SNMS for 5 min and then thrombin (500 U/L) for 1 min. Results The block rates of carotid arteries were (10.2±17.9)%, (4.1±5.2)%, (7.8±9.0)%, (16.2±20.8)%, and (79.2±7.8)% in SNMS1, SNMS2, Xueshuantong, heparin and control groups, respectively. The block rates in SNMS groups were superior to those in control group (P〈0.01), but similar to those in Xueshuantong and heparin groups (P〉0.05). Platelet aggregation of whole blood was obviously inhibited by 160, 320 and 640 μmol/L SNMS (P〈0.01), with the maximum agglutination being (8.50±3.87), (11.50±2.38) and (9.50±3.11) Ω, respectively. Conclusion SNMS can suppress the thrombosis and platelet aggregation of whole blood.
