摘    要:Plant plasma membrane H^+ -ATPase fuels ATP and pumps protons from the cytoplasm to the cell exterior resulting in acidification of plant cell wall and alkalinization of cytoplasm. This electrochemical gradient across the PM plays an extremely important role in plant growth and development. We isolated promoter and complete gene of plasma membrane H^+ -ATPase from common wheat (Triticum aestivum L.cv. yumai 18). The genomic sequence of the enzyme includes fourteen introns and fifteen exons. Existence of GGGCGGG sequence in promoter, located upstream-135, indicates that the enzyme is typical of “housekeeping” genes expressed in most tissues.
