Abstract:To investigate the effect of prenatal heat stress on the development of GABAB receptors in newborn mouse pituitary,12 pregnant mice of 13 gestational days were randomly divided into 2 groups,each with 6 mice.The treatment group(heat stress group) of pregnant mice were fastened in cabin(ambient temperature 42 ℃±0.31 ℃,relative humidity of 36.7%±1.42% until the rectal temperature reached 41 ℃,while the control group of pregnant mice were fastened in the cabin of room temperature.Then they were continually fed in separate cages.On 1,3,5,7 days after birth,the brain of each mouse was obtained,fixed in Zamboni’s solution and operated with the common paraffin sections and immunohistochemistry technique.Then the percentage of immunoreactive cells and the average value of gray-scale of GABAB receptors in pituitary cells between the heat stress group and the control group on different days were calculted and analyzed.The result indicated that the percentage of immunoreactive cells and the average value of gray-scale of GABAB receptors in the newborn mouse pituitary of the heat stress group on 1,3,5,7d decreased dramatically compared with that in control group.In conclusion,prenatal heat stress can lead to a decrease on the GABAB receptors in the pituitary of newborn mice,thus causing some hurt to the development of the pituitary of newborn mice.
