Comparative Effect of Cultivation Benefit on Dabieshan Cattle by Different Feeding Patterns in Winter

【Objective】The study was to compare the cultivation benefits of Dabieshan cattle by modern and traditional feeding ways in winter.【Method】The cattle was randomly divided into two groups,namely groupⅠand Ⅱ,each group had 10 cattle.The test period was 45 days.GroupⅠwas fed the straw,and groupⅡwas fed the extensive mixed diet.The average daily weight gain,daily feed intake and water intake were measured.At the end of the experiment,three individuals（2♂and 1♀） were chosen from each group to measure the slaughter performance and calculate the slaughter rate,net meat rate,ratio of high grade meat and quality meat,feed consumption and breeding benefit of each groups.【Result】The result showed that groupⅡwas significantly higher than that of groupⅠin the average daily gain,daily feed intake,pre slaughter live weight,carcass weight,slaughter rate and breeding benefit of（P0.05 or P0.01）.But there were no difference between the two groups in average water intake and the ratio of high grade meat and quality meat.【Conclusion】It indicated that the cultivation benefit of Dabieshan cattle could be improved by adopting scientific fattening way.
