| Abstract: | Some mistranslations were resulted from that the translators only paid theirattentions to grammatical analysis and neglected the logical analysis and image thinkingduring translating from English for agricultural science and technology to Chinese. Inthis paper,15 examples of such mistranslations are briefly interpreted upon the characteristics of English for science and technology(EST)and the differences between Englishand Chinese,from which the readers and translators of EST will gain benefit to enhancetheir EST understanding and translating quality from English into Chinese. |
