Allelopathy in Ornamental Plants and Its Application in Landscape Architecture

The usual way and the mechanism of allelopathy in ornamental plants are discussed; the pathway through which allelochemicals are released, the scope in which allelochemicals affect ornamental plants and the factors affecting allelopathy and allelocatalyses in ornamental plants are all analyzed. It is proposed that the allelochemicals, which are released by ornamental plants, play an important role in the stabilization of landscape plants community and the sustainability of the plants landscape. The allelopathy fundamentality of ecological aesthetics estimation of the stylish landscape and landscape ecology study are proposed. In the same way, the allelopathy plays an important referential role in the course of constructing a sustainable landscape, estimating the landscape ecology aesthetics and arranging the landscape plants.
