Analysis on Dwarfing Mutart in Gossypium Hirsutum L. and Its SSR Fingerprinting

After ion beam being injected into upland cotton seed,the cotton was breeded 6-7 generations. Mutants were screened and named dwarfing(free topping) mutants.The impact of different major components of SSR -PCR reaction system on the test result were investigated.The molecular marker analysis indicated that the mutant possessed lots mutant genes and genic differences compared with that of the wild type.The morphological study showed the mutant plant height was controlled by themselves,that is,these cotton were free topping.It brought to reduce the amount of the chemical reagents,reduce the pollution of the environment and the amount of labor.It was important that these dwarfing cottons promoted the mechanization and modernization of cotton production.
