Some Suggestions on Enhancing Afforestation Quality in China

The quality of afforestation not only affects forest productivity but also influences protective,social and economic benefits of forest,so it is the precondition and assurance for forest efficiency and of great importance for generations.Since the founding of P.R.C,China has become number one in the world with the most plantations of 46.66669 million hectares due to the government's effects to develop forest industry.However,the problems of widespread of inferior quality of forest loom large with the characteristics of low well-bred seed ratio,irrational forest heavy density,mono tree species composition,low unit volume productivity and severity of insects and diseases.A rational planning based on science and technology innovation and government's policy and free market mechanism is strong recommended in order to make the quality of plantations in China be highly enhanced.
