| Abstract: | Qinling and Bashan mountain range is located in the center of China. Being a dividing line of subtropical and warm temperature zones, Qinling and Bashan mountains present relations characteristic of transitional district. Qinling and Bashan mountains are the joint regions of northern and southern, eastern and western floras. There are plentiful resources of wild plants in the regions.
Authors investigated germplasm resources of wild fruits in the Qinling and Bashan mountains during 1983~1987. In this paper, the geographical distribution, biological characteristics and possible comercial applications of 42 species of wild fruits are reported. The characteristics of germplasm resources of wild fruits are discussed. |
