| Abstract: | Trehalose can be found in many organisms,including bacteria,fungi,insects,plants,and invertebrates,and plays an important role in the energy metabolism.Trehalase is a specificity enzyme which hydrolyzes trehalose into two molecules of glucose.This paper reviews insect trehalose and trehalase,enzymatic properties of trehalase,trehalase gene and insect trehalase inhibitor,and provides a prospect for the insect trehalase as insecticidal target. |
