Effects of the Changing Reading Habits on Traditional Library Service

With the social progress and the rapid development of network and electronic resource, reading behavior is changing qualitatively. Traditional library service is facing a historic crisis. The librarian working in the circulation department must learn self-reflection, meanwhile following the social trends and understanding the habits of readers, and study the laws of readers’ book borrowing to send high quality reference information and improve the utilization efficiency of library resource.
