赛典赤赡思丁与云南水利开发

 赛典办赡思丁不仅是我国元朝著名的政治家,而且是一位杰出的治水专家。公元1274～1279年(至元十一年～十六年),他任云南省平章政事(最高行政长官)期间,曾带领当地各族人民治理滇池水害。在他的领导下,建成了松华坝许进行了火量的沟渠疏浚工作。随着灌溉渠网的建立,滇池地区的农业和经济得到了迅速发展。鉴于赛典赤赡思丁在水利上的建树,他成了中国历史上的水利名人。

Saidianchi Zhansiding and the Exploitation of Irrigation in Yunnan Province

Saidianchi Zhansiding was not only a famous politician but also an expert on irrigation in the Yuan Dynasty. He had been a governor of Yunnan province at AC 1274-1279. During his rule he had led the people of native nationalities to prevent the flood of Diai-Chi by water control, and under his leadership the Song-Hua dam had been built and many canals had been dredged. As the systerm of irrigation had been established, the agriculture and rural economy got a rapid development in the region of Diai-Chi. On account of his contributions to irrigation Saidianchi Zhansiding became a famous expert of hydroengineering in Chinese history.
