美丽梧桐野生资源调查初报

通过9d,先后2次的野外调查?,初步了解了美丽梧桐野生种质资源在海南的分布情况:海拔最高约473m,最低约20m,沿着山坡阳面的沟谷呈带状垂直分布,喜光、喜湿特性明显,每年的4～5月开花,6月种子成熟,为选育良种和人工栽培、为城市庭院绿化美化培育新品种等提供理论指导。调查还发现:美丽梧桐野生种质资源在海南岛分布区域比史料记载的更要偏南,海拔区域也更宽;美丽梧桐野生种质资源不多,而且数量在迅速减少,亟待保护与人工育种栽培。

A Preliminary Report on Wild Resource Survey of Firmiana pulcherrima

Based on 9 days 2 field survey on the distribution of wild Firmiana pulcherrima germplasm resources in Hainan. The habitat distributed on elevation between 20m to 473m, form a vertical ribbon areas on gully of hillside slope to the sunlight. The species has a obvious characteristics of light and moisture loving, it flower at April and May, the seeds become mature on June. The resuk hopes to provide theoretical basis for fine varieties breeding, cultivars introduction, developing new varieties for gardening and landscaping. It was also found that, the distribution of Firmiana pulcherrima in Hainan is further south than the historical data records, the elevation of habitat also has a wilder range, it is also found that the wild Firmiana pulcherrima germplasm resources in Hainan is relatively scarce, and is rapidly decreasing, therefore protection and artificial breeding and cultivation are needed.
