Creation of a new population of black pied dairy cattle of the Vyatskii type

A complex reproductive crossing has been used in the Volga-Vyatsk region to breed a new competitive dairy cattle type Vyatskii which combines the gene pool of four breeds: Istoben, Dutch, Estonia Black Pied, and Holstein. Animals of the new type are distinguished by good acclimatization abilities and have the high milk productivity of Holsteins while retaining the milk fat qualities of the Istoben and Dutch breeds (patent No. 3778 of November 26, 2007).
