| Abstract: | Listening plays a vital role in the college English teaching. Pragmatic presupposition is one of important theories in Pragmaties and it has certain guiding significance. This paper introduces the basic theories of pragmatic presupposition and its specific application to the college English listening teaching. It also probes into pragmatic presupposition＇s positive role in the listening teaching. |
