Analysis of Differences between Urban and Rural Consumption Demands for Higher Education in China

The current urban and rural differences in higher education consumption demand are still very obvious in China, mainly in four aspects, consumption demand desire differences, consumption demand approach differences, consumption demand result differences, and consumption demand utility differences. These differences influence the fairness of higher education consumption between the urban and rural students. Deepening the reform of education system, breaking urban-rural dual education pattern, and realizing the overall development of urban and rural education are the effective ways of narrowing the gaps of higher education consumption demand between urban and rural students to promote educational equity.
