| Abstract: | A suggestion of retaining surface runoff in rainy season by building small ponds and distributing the water collected with micro spray irrigation system to ease seasonal drought in the red soil hilly area in south China, after analyzing carefully the formation cause of the seasonal draught, is given in this paper. Case study shown that the technique offer reliable assurance for local typical cropping pattern of two harvests a year. |
