| 摘 要： | 岳麓书院的外语教育开始于戊戌变法时期 ,是湖南新政事业的一部分。由于有专家执掌 ,其组织实施皆有较高的水平 ,符合语言教学尤其是非母语教学的规律。它是千年学府近代化的重要标志 ,为中国高等教育的近代化作出了贡献。
