Research and Application of VA Mycorrhizae in the Reclamation on the Abandoned Mine Land in the United States

Nowadays, the low quality of environment disturbed by human being is becoming an universal problem. It is clear that VA mycorrhizae can be in favor of the revegetation of mine spoils, and also they are considered as an indispensable factor in the revegetation. For understanding the VA mycorrhizae in the ecosystem comprehensively,several studies were carried out on the ecology of VA mycorrhizae in the United States, such as distribution in soil, dispersal by wind, activity affected by industrial process water, occurrence in natural and disturbed ecosystem, effect on succession. The applications of VA mycorrhizae in the different disturbed mine sites in Wyoming are presented. Finally, the authors make some suggestions.
