| Abstract: | Pinsu tabulaeformis Carr.is one of the important forest tree species in north China. According to the method of principal components analysis, the distribution of Chinese pine in its main range was divided into 4 regions based on 12 items of meteorological data (1951-1980) from 157 counties (the area of Chinese pine forests is more than 1000 hectares in each county) : (1) The warm temperate semi-moist region, including west Liaoning, South Inner Mongolia, north Hebei, Shanxi and Shaanxi (2) The warm temperate wet semi-moist region, including southern central Shandong, south Hebei, west Henan and south Shaanxi(i. e. the northern slope of Qinling Mountains) ( 3 ) The warm temperate moist region, including east Liaoning (4) The subtropical moist region, including south Shaanxi (i.e. the southern slope of Qinling Mountains) , northeast Sichuan and northwest Hubei. |
