In a limited temperature range the partial pressure of gallium subsulfide (Ga(2)S) above gallium sesquisulfide (Ga(2)S(3)) increases when the temperature is decreased. The anomaly in the partial pressure is caused by changes with temperature in the equilibrium compositions of two solid phases that coexist at 1228 degrees +/- 3 degrees K. At this temperature the solids differ in sulfur content by 0.4 atomic percent sulfur. 相似文献

Fossils discovered in Lower Cretaceous (Aptian) rocks in the Tenere Desert of central Niger provide new information about spinosaurids, a peculiar group of piscivorous theropod dinosaurs. The remains, which represent a new genus and species, reveal the extreme elongation and transverse compression of the spinosaurid snout. The postcranial bones include blade-shaped vertebral spines that form a low sail over the hips. Phylogenetic analysis suggests that the enlarged thumb claw and robust forelimb evolved during the Jurassic, before the elongated snout and other fish-eating adaptations in the skull. The close phylogenetic relationship between the new African spinosaurid and Baryonyx from Europe provides evidence of dispersal across the Tethys seaway during the Early Cretaceous. 相似文献

Hematologic abnormalities preceding apparent recovery from feline leukemia virus infection 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
A 5-month-old domestic short-haired cat was referred to the Western College of Veterinary Medicine because of hemorrhage from the mouth. Neutropenia and bone marrow dyscrasia developed within 2 weeks, and results of a fluorescent antibody test for feline leukemia virus (FeLV) were positive. During the next 6 months, the feline oncornavirus cell membrane-associated antibody titer increased, the hematologic abnormalities regressed, and the cat became negative to the FeLV fluorescent antibody test (FeLV test). The results of 3 consecutive FeLV tests were negative, and the cat has been clinically normal for the past 18 months. 相似文献
