This study evaluated the adverse effects of carprofen in seven healthy cats. Values for CBC, biochemical profiles and platelet aggregation were measured before and at seven days after SID treatment with subcutaneous carprofen: 4 mg/kg (day 1), 2 mg/kg (day 2 and 3) and 1 mg/kg (day 4 and 6) (CG) or 0.35 ml of saline (SG) for six days in a randomized, blinded, cross-over study with a four-week washout period. No treatment was given on day 5. Endoscopy of the GI tract was performed pre-treatment and on day 7 post-treatment. There were no significant changes in hematological profiles, biochemical profiles and endoscopy grading scores within nor between groups, except for lower albumin values at baseline than on day 7 (CG), and globulin and ALP values were higher at baseline than on day 7 in CG and SG. SC administration of carprofen over six days did not cause any adverse effects on gastrointestinal, hematological, or serum biochemical variables. 相似文献

以华南某1 500头规模种猪场2009年到2010年1 502窝长白猪分娩信息进行优化、选配减少近交畸形的研究,结果显示血缘选配优化时将近交系数控制在1%比3%效果明显,平均产活仔数从10.39头/窝提高到10.46头/窝(p≥0.05),畸形率从10.30%下降到4.79%(p≤0.01);对其中402窝出现畸形仔猪的统计显示,各类畸形以"先天性震颤"、"X形腿"为主,分别为40.66%、25.48%;对其中48头长白母猪相邻两胎均生有畸形仔猪的分析显示,优化后入选父本近交系数从1.05%降为0.52%(p≤0.05),平均畸形仔猪数从3.10头/窝下降到1.85头/窝(p≤0.01)。表明将近交系数控制在1%优化选配可以减少近交危害,减少新生仔猪畸形率,从而提高母猪年生产效率。 相似文献

Three healthy horses were fed the beta-adrenergic agonist feed additive zilpaterol at a dosage of 0.17 mg/kg body weight to study zilpaterol elimination kinetics. Soon after ingestion of zilpaterol, the horses developed skeletal muscle tremors and tachycardia. A 75 to 87.5% reduced dose of zilpaterol was fed to the horses 24 hours after the initial dose; administration was discontinued thereafter. The horses exhibited restlessness, muscle tremors, and profuse sweating 20 to 25 minutes after ingestion of zilpaterol. Tachycardia developed within 40 minutes and took up to 2 weeks to resolve. Muscle tremors lasted up to 1 week. The most pronounced derangements in serum biochemistry were increased activities of lactic dehydrogenase, creatine kinase, and aspartate transferase, indicating muscle damage. The most severely affected horse also had transient azotemia, hematuria, and proteinuria, suggesting renal damage. All three horses recovered without treatment and were clinically normal 2 to 3 weeks after the initial dose of zilpaterol. Because of their anabolic properties, beta-adrenergic feed additives are considered a risk for abuse in performance horses, despite the absence of Food and Drug Administration approval for such use. Oral administration of zilpaterol to horses at the dosage indicated for use in cattle may result in prolonged adverse effects, including tachycardia, muscle tremors, and renal damage. 相似文献

Cephalosporins are known for their broad spectrum and strong antibacterial activity in clinic.Cephalosporins are widely used in the medical field, but their application is partly restricted in veterinary medicine because of fewer classes,and cross resistance derived from abusing and misusing.Therefore,the review concluded the development process of cephalosporin, antibacterial mechanism, pharmacokinetics and safety, summarized the main classes of veterinary cephalosporin, antibacterial activity and pharmacokinetic parameters in animals, compared the antibacterial activity of the main veterinary cephalosporin and the therapeutic effect on sensitive bacterial infection diseases.Meanwhile,the resistance mechanism and the situation of resistance of cephalosporin were summarized, and the measures taken by various countries on the resistance control were compared and analyzed.Through the review of the development and clinical application of veterinary cephalosporin,it was made for promoting the scientific and standardized use of cephalosporin in benefit clinic. 相似文献
