A guava based intercropping systems comprising of nine intercrops such as mango ginger, turmeric, tomato, cowpea, frenchbean, ragi, niger, upland paddy and control (without intercrop) was conducted to study the influence of various intercropping systems on plant and soil health of guava orchard. The results revealed that guava + cowpea system showed significant improvement in bulk density, electrical conductivity, water holding capacity, organic carbon content and pH of orchard soil. The guava + cowpea system also recorded significantly maximum available nitrogen and potassium content in the soil, whereas the maximum available phosphorus content were obtained in guava + mango ginger system. The nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium (N, P and K) content of guava leaf were found to be maximum under the guava + cowpea system. The fruit yield of guava was recorded highest in guava +cowpea intercropping system. However, the total soluble solids (TSS) and acidity of fruits were not affected by the intercropping systems. 相似文献

Sampling theory was combined with resampling techniques to determine the number of location-years needed for estimating an insect's required thermal summation and lower developmental threshold from field-based studies. This was done by analysing 19 location-years of field observations on the first emergence of Apthona nigriscutis Foudras, an important biological control agent of the noxious weed, leafy spurge (Euphorbia esula L.). Results indicated that 5 - 7 location-years were needed to estimate that insect's mean required thermal summation and mean lower developmental threshold for predicting first adult emergence. However, if the wish was to estimate the median required thermal summation and median lower developmental threshold for that purpose, then 8 - 11 location-years were needed to obtain acceptable estimates of those parameters. Cashew apple and guava residues from fruit juice industry were prepared as dehydrated fruit powders and used at different
levels of wheat flour substitution for cookies formulations. The effects of guava and cashew apple fruit powders supplementation
on physicochemical and sensorial characteristics of the cookies were evaluated. The pH, fibre and protein content were significantly
affected. Biscuits with 15 g and 20 g/100g cashew apple and guava fruit powders showed the highest scores for sensorial attributes,
respectively. The supplementation seems to be suited for wheat flour substitution and it is possible to obtain cookies with

通过不同低温对台湾引进的珍珠番石榴、无籽番石榴及福建省乡土番石榴的处理 ,测定其在低温胁迫下叶片若干生理生化变化 ,以探求番石榴不同品种的抗寒性与忍受的临界低温。结果表明 ,番石榴忍受的临界低温为 -3~ -4℃ ,因品种和低温持续时间而异。番石榴不同品种间耐寒性差异与叶片束缚水 自由水比值以及可溶性蛋白质、可溶性糖含量相关。乡土番石榴的抗寒性高于从台湾引进的两个品种。 相似文献

Investigation of four guava cultivars showed that when the fruits were harvested at different stages of growth and development, total sugars increased slowly during the initial growing period followed by rapid increase during maturation and repining for all cultivars. The maximum level varied from 7.5 to 26.9%. Individual sugars: (fructose, glucose and sucrose) increased slowly during the initial growing period followed by rapid increase during maturation and ripening for all cultivars. The cultivars differed in their final sugar content; fructose varied from 5.6 to 7.7%, glucose from 1.9 to 18.1%, and sucrose from 6.2 to 7.8%. Total ash for all cultivars decreased slowly during the initial growing period followed by a sudden increase in the latter stage of maturation and ripening, with maximum level varying from 5.2 to 7.9%. Minerals: Ca, Mg, Na, K and P, for all cultivars decreased slowly during all stages of development. These results suggest that when guava fruits were picked 106–126 days after fruit set it ensures sufficient amount of total sugars and appreciable amount of minerals. 相似文献

根据近几年对广州地区番石榴病害调查,初步鉴定出番石榴病害13种;真菌病害12种,藻类病害1种。其中果实病害7种,叶斑类6种。果实上以炭疽病严重,其次为褐腐病。黑腐病(Botryodiplodia theobromae Pat.);褐腐病(phomopsis psidii de Camara);茎点霉果腐病(phoma psidii Ahmad);果褐点病(Cercospora psidii Rengel);褐污斑病(Mycovellosiella myrtacearum A.N.Rai et al );叶斑病(phyllosticta psidii.Tassi);叶枯病(phomopsis destructum D.P.C. Rao,Agrawal et Saksena);灰斑病(pestalotiopsis disseminatum (Thuem.)Stey.)8种病害系国内首次报道。3种病原为新种,将另文发表。本文最后讨论了有待于进一步研究的问题。 相似文献
