The transformation of natural landscapes into impervious built-up surfaces through urbanization is known to significantly interfere with the ecological integrity of urban landscapes and accelerate climate change and associated impacts. Although urban reforestation is widely recognised as an ideal mitigation practice against these impacts, it often has to compete with other lucrative land uses within an urban area. The often limited urban space provided for reforestation therefore necessitates the optimization of the ecological benefits, which demands spatially explicit information. The recent proliferation of tree stands structural complexity (SSC) and topographic data offer great potential for determining the ecological performance of reforested areas across an urban landscape. This study explores the potential of using topographic datasets to predict SSC in a reforested urban landscape and ranks the value of these topographic variables in determining SSC. Tree structural data from a reforested urban area was collected and fed into a tree stand structural complexity index, which was used to indicate ecological performance. Topographic variables (Topographic Wetness Index, slope, Area Solar Radiation and elevation)- were derived from a Digital Elevation Model (DEM) and used to predict SSC using the Partial Least Squares (PLS) regression technique. Results show that SSC varied significantly between the topographic variables. Results also show that the topographic variables could be used to reliably predict SSC. As expected, the Topographic Wetness Index and slope were the most important topographic determinants of SSC while elevation was the least valuable. These results provide valuable spatially explicit information about the ecological performance of the reforested areas within an urban landscape. Specifically, the study demonstrates the value of topographic data as aids to urban reforestation planning.  相似文献

基于高程的偏度参数统计的LiDAR数据滤波对地形起伏城区滤波适应性不强的弱点,对该方法进行了改进,提出了结合渐进形态学开运算和偏度平衡法的LiDAR数据滤波方法,该方法的原理就是将所有引起高程的突变转换成全由植被、建筑等非地面点引起,而不是由地形高程引起的,这个转换的中间量就是高差,即将高差作为偏度系数的统计对象.并通过实验验证了该方法的合理性,实验结果表明,改进的方法不仅延续了参数统计法无需阈值的优势,而且对城区滤波更具适应性、合理性和稳定性,能够明显地提高滤波精度.  相似文献

An investigation of phenological and growth traits was conducted in a lowland plantation, comprised of 23 Norway spruce (Picea abies (L.) Karst.) seed stands from the Istebna region in the Beskidy Mountains of Poland. Significant differences were found among population in growth initiation, growth termination and the length of shoot elongation period. The two latter traits were highly correlated and were attributed to the altitude of the maternal stand. The tested populations were grouped based on phenology. Progeny of lower-alttitude stands ceased growth later, had a longer duration of shoot growth and greater current leader length compared to progeny of higher-altitude stands. Individual populations, however, did not differ in current-year growth and total tree height, implying higher within-population variation in growth traits than in phenology. The similar growth capacity of all tested populations suggests considerable gene flow between maternal stands, although differences in phenology imply the adaptation of progenies to the altitudinal environment of seed origin. These results suggest that within tested populations, selection is possible based on phenology alone, without considerable reduction of early height growth; final decisions, however, should be based on the environmental conditions of the planting site.  相似文献

油葵杂交种含油率与地理位置的关系研究   总被引:8,自引:2,他引:6  
对2001年全国油用型向日葵杂交种联合区域试验中12个杂交种的子实含油率和籽仁含油率与地理位置关系进行了分析。结果表明:油葵杂交种子实和籽仁含油率与海拔高度存在着明显正相关,相关系数分别为0.7607和0.8228,个别杂交种的直接回归达显著水平;杂交种间与纬度相关不一致,有正相关、负相关,相关系数最大为-0.7177和-0.5767,最小为-0.0754和0.0019。对两因素综合分析比较,海拔高度对含油率的影响比纬度大,二者偏回归系数T检验值分别为2.0534(海拔)>0.8222(纬度)、8.0523 (海拔)>4.4233 (纬度)。  相似文献

From 700 m to 1900 m on the northern slope of Changbai Mountain, 13 plots with an interval of 100 m in elevation were investigated to study the variations of population structure and important value of the main edificators along the elevation gradient. In their core distribution areas, most of the edificators had healthy population structure and could regenerate smoothly except Larix olgensis, but important value of Larix olgensis had no obvious variations with elevation changes, which showed that Larix olgensis had its own particularity and strong adaptability. At high elevation above 1800 m, Betula ermanfi was the only species that could form a mono-dominant community. Important values of Pinus koraiensis and Acer mono had similar changing trends, and they had the similar ecological adaptabilities.  相似文献

Abstract

Soil organic carbon (SOC) and nutrient stocks in the soil profile (0–80 cm) in four dominant land uses [forest, upland maize and millet (Bari), irrigated rice (Khet), and grazed systems)] and 0–15 cm depth along elevation gradient 1000 to 3000 m, and aspects in the Mardi watershed were measured. Soil properties at 0–15 cm depth were also measured in undisturbed forest, forest with free grazed system, managed forest, and grassland to compare the soil quality index (SQI) of topsoils. The SOC and nutrient concentration decreased with increasing profile depth. The SOC and N contents in the 0–15 cm depth of forest soils were significantly greater than the corresponding depth in upland maize and millet, irrigated rice, and grazed systems. On the other hand, available P and K concentrations at the same depth were significantly greater in upland maize and millet compared to irrigated rice, grazed system, and forest land uses. The SOC and N stocks (0–15 cm) increased from agricultural land at the valley bottom at about 1000 m above mean sea level (a.s.l.) (24 and 3 Mg ha?1) compared to undisturbed forest (74 and 5.9 Mg ha?1) at 2600 m a.s.l, demonstrating the effects of cover and elevation. Both SOC and N stocks decreased sharply in grassland (54 and 4.5 Mg ha?1) at elevations of 2600 to 2800 m a.s.l. compared with undisturbed forest. Above 2800 m a.s.l. the cover type changed from grass to coniferous forest, and the SOC and N stocks steadily increased at the summit level (3200 m a.s.l.) to 65 and 6.9 Mg ha?1, respectively. Slope and aspect significantly affected SOC with the northwest aspect having significantly higher concentrations (46 g kg?1) than other aspects. Similarly, SOC concentration at the lowest slope position (39 g kg?1) was significantly higher than the middle or upper positions (25 and 13 g kg?1). Integrated soil quality index (SQI) values varied from 0.17 to 0.69 for different land uses, being highest for undisturbed forest and lowest for irrigated rice. The SQI demonstrated the degradation status of land uses in the following ascending order: irrigated rice?>?grazed system?>?forest with free grazing?>?upland maize and millet?>?managed forest?>?grass land?>?undisturbed forest. The irrigated rice, grazed system, upland maize and millet, and freely grazed forestlands need immediate attention to minimize further deterioration of soil quality in these land uses.  相似文献

地形是景观空间分布格局的重要影响因子,特别是在人为活动占优势的景观中地形条件成为大尺度景观空间分布格局的决定因素。以地处黄土高原、水土流失较为严重的山西省永和县岔口小流域为研究对象,利用SPOT遥感影像、1:1万地形图和土地利用现状等数据,通过对小流域的土地利用现状和DEM分析,得到各地形分级单元的土地利用景观指数,并对流域土壤侵蚀风险进行了评价研究。结果表明:研究区土地利用景观格局分布与高程、坡度和坡向有一定的相关性,岔口小流域整体土壤侵蚀风险处于中等较低的水平。  相似文献

以青海省海南州贵德县拉鸡山地区植物群落为研究对象,从海拔3100~3920m,划分为9个海拔梯度,研究了植物生物量及物种丰富度沿海拔梯度的变化特征。结果表明:阳坡地上生物量与物种丰富度呈极显著正相关关系(r=0.564,P<0.01),总生物量与根冠比呈极显著正相关关系(r=0.714,P<0.01);海拔与地上生物量呈极显著负相关关系(r=-0.773,P<0.01),与地下生物量、总生物量、根冠比呈极显著正相关关系(r=0.769、r=0.753、r=0.692,P<0.01)。阴坡植物群落总生物量与地上生物量之间呈显著正相关关系(r=0.495,P<0.05),与地下生物量之间成极显著正相关关系(r=0.960,P<0.01),与海拔呈极显著负相关(r=-0.519,P<0.01);根冠比与地上生物量呈极显著负相关关系(r=-0.631,P<0.01)。地上生物量与海拔呈极显著负相关(r=-0.678,P<0.01)。  相似文献
