Knowledge of the factors involved, and tools to control morphology and flowering are important in intensive and cost-efficient greenhouse production. Hydrangea macrophylla is an important flowering pot plant in Norway and is produced year-around in greenhouses. Due to problems in scheduling, a study was conducted to compare floral transition and morphology of two commercially important cultivars of Hydrangea (‘Early Blue’ and ‘Schneeball’) under different flower initiating treatments in growth chambers. Plants were grown with high pressure sodium lamps (HPS) at moderate temperature (17 °C) (MT) and high (24 °C) temperature. At high temperature, the effect of (1) irradiance under long day conditions (16 h lighting with 70 or 200 μmol m−2 s−1), and (2) short day (8 h lighting) was investigated. The short day treatment had similar light integral as the low irradiance long day treatment (SD: 8 h × 140 μmol m−2 s−1 and LD: 16 h × 70 μmol m−2 s−1 = 4.0 mol m−2 d−1). The intention was to test the effect of irradiance and SD on flower transition and morphology under high temperatures. The results clearly showed that MT is the strongest signal for floral transition. MT resulted in a rapid floral transition of the terminal buds and lateral flower buds. A short forcing period was required and the plants became short and compact without any use of chemical growth retardants. At high temperatures only SD had a promotive effect on flower transition and the response was found to be stronger in ‘Schneeball’ than ‘Early Blue’. In general, all the treatments under high temperatures required a long forcing time and the plants tended to be very tall with a low number of lateral flower buds. 相似文献

The long term effects of superphosphate fertilization on stem form, taper and stem volume estimation of Pinus radiata on a phosphorus-deficient site was examined using data from a fertilizer experiment which had been maintained for 30 years. The application of superphosphate resulted in long term and statistically significant changes in stem form. Mean cylindrical form factor ranged from 0.33 for the control trees up to 0.40 for trees fertilized with 100 kg P ha−1. Stem form was also examined through taper curves which provided detailed depiction of average relative stem profiles. The increase in cylindrical form factor of fertilized trees was largely attributed to a significantly broader profile of the lower third of the stem. In comparison with the control trees, the fertilized trees also had a broader, although not statistically significant, profile of upper and middle stem which could also contribute to the increase in their cylindrical form factor. With increased form factor a greater proportion of the stem became merchantable because of increased log length to tree height ratio. Mean average taper of trees did not show a consistent trend with increasing lelevels of superphosphate application. It largely reflected the differential response of DBH and height growth to the treatments. The volume equation based on control trees underestimated the underbark stem volume of fertilized trees by 5–12% on average. 本试验研究了3种不同中草药配方对泰和乌骨鸡生产性能及组织黑色素含量的影响, 以探讨利用饲料途径提高泰和乌骨鸡药用滋补价值的可行性.对照组饲喂基础日粮, 其余3组分别饲喂添加1%以黑芝麻为主要成分的复方中草药添加剂Ⅰ(试验组Ⅰ)、1%以何首乌为主要成分的复方中草药添加剂Ⅱ(试验组Ⅱ)和1%以血余炭为主要成分的复方中草药添加剂Ⅲ (试验组Ⅲ)的日粮.试验全期(0~12周龄)各处理组间平均日增重、平均日采食量和料重比差异不显著(P>0.05).全期死亡率除试验组Ⅲ外, 其他试验组与对照组相比有下降趋势, 所有试验组的腹泻率均低于对照组.4周龄时各试验组乌骨鸡组织(胸肌、腿肌和皮肤)中黑色素含量均高于对照组.8周龄和12周龄时除8周龄试验组Ⅱ的皮肤以及12周龄试验Ⅰ组和试验Ⅱ腿肌黑色素含量低于对照组外, 其他试验组组织黑色素含量均高于对照组.3种复方中草药添加剂总体上未对泰和乌骨鸡的生产性能造成不利影响, 但可不同程度地提高泰和乌骨鸡组织中的黑色素含量. 相似文献

以商用草地早熟禾(Poa pratensis)(‘午夜2号’、‘巴润’、‘肯塔基’)为材料,采用高效液相色谱法(HPLC)测定其分蘖期间内源激素(IAA,ZR+Z)含量的变化特征,为选择适宜的草种和科学地管理草坪提供理论指导和参考依据.结果表明:在草地早熟禾分蘖过程中, IAA与ZR+Z变化趋势相似,呈单峰曲线,发芽后1周左右,IAA含量达到最大值(120 ng·g-1左右),此后随着生长时间的增长而减小;ZR+Z含量随着生长时间的增长而升高,在发芽后35 d达到峰值(‘午夜2号’205.82 ng·g-1、‘巴润’146.67 ng·g-1、‘肯塔基’172.16 ng·g-1),此后下降;IAA/(ZR+Z)比值呈先下降后上升的变化趋势.草地早熟禾分蘖期间,草地早熟禾平均分蘖数呈先上升后下降趋势,其平均分蘖数与IAA含量成负相关,与ZR+Z含量成正相关.就不同品种分蘖能力而言,‘午夜2号’平均分蘖数均大于‘巴润’和‘肯塔基’,且在发芽后第35 d左右达到最大值 (‘午夜2号’2.45分蘖枝·株-1,‘巴润’2.15分蘖枝·株-1,‘肯塔基’1.98分蘖枝·株-1).表明‘午夜2号’在同等生长环境下分蘖能力最强,‘肯塔基’分蘖能力最差,‘巴润’次之. 相似文献
