CALCULATING SYSTEM FOR SECOND-ORDER EFFECT IN THE COLUMNS OF REINFORCED CONCRETE FRAMES

This paper makes an analysis and comparison of the calculatingsystem for second-order effect in columns of reinforced concrete frames proposedby scholars at home and abroad,and the systems adopted by codes of manycountries.The focus is on explaining the conceptual error and deficiency in somemethods.After expounding the basic law of the second-order effect in framecolumns with different restraints,this paper suggests an improvement of thecalculating system for second-order effect in frame columns for China's DesignCode of Concrete Structures.     

THE STUDY OF STRAIN FATIGUE CRACK PROPAGATION BEHAVOURS OF VANADIUM BEARING HSLA STEEL

In this paper, the strain fatigue: crack propagation rates of vanadium bearing HSLA steel with different micro-structures are measured under constant load conditions, and the relationship between the crack propagation rate and the microstructures of steel is also studied.     

PROBABILISTIC EVALUATION FOR STEEL FRAME COLUMNS OF TALL BUILDINGS

Based on properties of parameters and test data of dom-estic steel,this paper analyses the reliability and partial coefficient forresistance of steel frame columns of tall builings.The result may serveas a scientific basis.It is not only for domestic steel instead of importedsteel in building tall steel structures,but also for compiling concerendstandards.     

Fire resistance performance on restrained high strength Q460 steel beams

为了研究约束高强度Q460钢梁的抗火性能,在已有约束钢梁分析理论的基础上,引入残余应力,提出了约束钢梁的抗火性能分析方法,并采用普通强度约束钢梁试验数据对分析方法进行了验证。考虑高强度Q460钢材高温下力学性能参数,利用所提出的方法分析了约束高强度Q460钢梁的抗火性能,并与普通强度Q345钢梁进行了对比。对影响约束高强度Q460钢梁的抗火性能参数进行了分析,包括荷载比、残余应力、轴向约束刚度、转动约束刚度和受火方式等。研究表明：所提出的分析方法准确可靠,高强度Q460钢梁抗火性能与普通强度钢梁具有较大的区别,高强度Q460约束钢梁的抗火性能明显优于普通强度约束钢梁。荷载比、轴向约束刚度、转动约束刚度、受火方式对高强度Q460约束钢梁有较大影响。     

Resource Management in Application System

Application system generally refers to all kinds of computer information system. It aims at improving the sharing and application of the resource. The resource in application system usually means data resource. For computer management and maintenance, there are not only data resource, but also program resource and network resource. Effective management of this resource is key to ensure proper work of the application system. In this paper, the basic pattern and policy for resource management is put forward and a method to build and realize the resource layer that lies between database layer and application layer is to be found. This management layer, which skillfully connects the application system with resource and establishes good base for application and exploitation of system, is named as resource management system.     

A Strain-equivalent Non-local Constitutive Model for Lamellar Dual-Phase Materials

Pearlitic steel is composed of numerous pearlitic colonies with randomly distributed orientations,and each colony is composed of many alternatively arranged parallel lamellas of ferrite and cementite.The pearlitic steel with fine interlamellar spacing possesses excellent mechanical properties,such as high strength,good resistance against wear,and high fatigue life,etc. Based on the inconsistency of the deformation between the two phases,a strain_equivalent and non_local constitutive model is proposed. Using this model,the effect of the interlamellar spacing of peailitic steel,a fundamental parmeter of the microstructure of pearlitic material, on its macroscopic mechanical behavior can be described without changing the local material parameters for each phase of the material.The asymmetrical cyclic plasticity of both the hot_rolled and the off_line full_length quenched pearlitic steel PD3 is analyzed.The comparison between the computational and the experimental results shows satisfactory agreement.     

Appropriate Technology and Corresponding Design Strategies for the Steel Construction Congregated Apartments

In this paper,notions on appropriate technology for the Steel Construction Congregated Apartments are proposed in order to deal with the technical impediment that arises from applying steel structural techniques to the congregated apartments.The appropriate technology for the steel construction congregated apartments is defined as systematic technologies that are in harmony with the status quo of Chinese productive force level,social culture and building technology,and as the strategies of choosing or balancing technology according to sustainable development principle.The principal design and constructing strategies of appropriate technology are as follows:(1) organization of residential space combined with steel construction techniques,(2) suitable structural system,(3) a new idea of fire resistance,and(4) kit building technique etc.A technological concept analysis about an ideal model of a steel construction system congregated apartment combined with the appropriate technology is also presented.
