90只小白鼠随机分为9组每组10只。除对照组外,其余8组分别以绵羊每日正常用药量的1.5^u等比级数递增剂量,一次给小白鼠灌服定量“棘防E号”,连续观察14天,以测定“棘防E号”对小白鼠口服的LD50。同时,按最大无作用剂量(101.25mg/BW、正常剂量(20.00mg/kg.BW、最大无作用剂量的1/30(3.375mg/kg.BW)给小白鼠饮用“棘防E号”,观察对小白鼠繁殖机能的影响。结果表明,当小白鼠服用绵羊正常用药量的17倍时,不出现半数死亡,说明“棘防E号”对小白鼠的LD50大于绵羊正常用药量的10倍,是完全安全性的药物;最大无作用剂量、正常剂量、最大无作用剂量的1/30对小白鼠怀孕率和胎儿畸形与对照组没有明显的区别。  相似文献

The paper describes the specifics of the epidemiology of the Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome (PRRS), that is its "behavior" as a communicable disease in porcine populations, and compares them to the general epidemiological characteristics of communicable diseases. This analysis shows that infection with the PRRS virus "behaves" epidemiologically both as an epidemic and as an endemic disease: on the one hand it can spread like an epidemic in na?ve populations, and on the other it seems to linger on infinitely in an affected population with its clinical expression varying from farm to farm like an endemic disease. The paper tries to draw "epidemiological" conclusions on the general methods for controlling and/or eradicating the disease, and to identify areas of further research.  相似文献

The first occurrence of "Hyena disease" in cattle in Finland is described. The affected beef bulls consumed very high doses of vitamins A, D and E. Some of them developed to "Hyena" bulls and some to "Hyena/dwarf"-bulls. Due to the tremendous socio-economic impact of classical swine fever (CSF) outbreaks, emergency vaccination scenarios are continuously under discussion. Unfortunately, all currently available vaccines show restrictions either in terms of marker capacities or immunogenicity. Recent research efforts were therefore directed at the design of new modified live marker vaccines. Among the most promising candidates the chimeric pestiviruses "CP7_E2alf" and "flc11" were identified. Within an international research project, these candidates were comparatively tested in challenge experiments after a single oral vaccination. Challenge infection was carried out with highly virulent CSF virus strain "Koslov", 14 or 21 days post vaccination (dpv), respectively. Safety, efficacy, and marker potential were addressed. All assessments were done in comparison with the conventional "gold standard" C-strain "Riems" vaccine. In addition to the challenge trials, multiple vaccinations with both candidates were performed to further assess their marker vaccine potential. All vaccines were safe and yielded full protection upon challenge 21 days post vaccination. Neither serological nor virological investigations showed major differences among the three vaccines. Whereas CP7_E2alf also provided clinical protection upon challenge at 14 days post vaccination, only 50% of animals vaccinated with flc11, and 83% vaccinated with C-strain "Riems" survived challenge at this time point. No marked differences were seen in protected animals. Despite the fact that all multiple-vaccinated animals stayed sero-negative in the accompanying marker test, the discriminatory assay remains a weak point due to delayed or inexistent detection of some of the vaccinated and subsequently infected animals. Nevertheless, the potential as live marker vaccines could be confirmed for both vaccine candidates. Future efforts will therefore be directed at the licensing of "Cp7_E2alf" as the first live marker vaccine for CSF.  相似文献

Abstract: "Hygia" cowside milk progesterone kit examined Milk samples of a wide range of progesterone concentrations (< 0.6 – 50 ng/ml) were analyzed with the cowside test "Hygia" (Hartmann AG, HeidenheirnlBrenz). The test is easy to conduct and takes 10–15 min. In case of high (> 10 nglml), intermediate (2.2–9.5 ng/ml) and low (< 1.8 ng/ml) progesterone levels correct diagnoses were arrived at in 98%, 87% and 95% of all cases, respectively.  相似文献

本试验以AA肉用雏鸡为实验动物,用纯中药制剂中宝杀球散进行了抗鸡柔嫩艾美耳球虫的药效试验。试验共设7个组,中宝杀球散治疗组和预防组、中西药结合治疗组、盐霉素预防组、地克珠利治疗组、空白对照组及攻虫对照组。结果表明,中宝杀球散治疗组、中宝杀球散预防组、中西药结合治疗组、盐霉素预防组以及地克珠利治疗组的ACI值分别为149.78、173.10、214.16、141.90、195.73。表明中宝杀球散作为预防用药较治疗用药有更好的效果,且中西药结合用药表现出突出的抗球虫效果,可以考虑联合用药方案。  相似文献

"Dioxins" are used to specify polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins (PCDD), dibenzo-furanes (F) and dioxin-like polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB's). Many of the congeners proved to be highly toxic; 2,3,7,8-tetrachloro-dibenzo-p-dioxin (TCDD) is the most toxic congener, and probably the most toxic compound ever synthesized by man (the natural occurance of this substance is very low). The total concentration/-toxicity of a mixture of congeners (WHO-PCDD/F-TEQ, or including the PCB's WHO-PCDD/F-PCB-PCB-TEQ) is calculated by addition of the individual concentrations multiplied by respective toxicity equivalence factors TEF; the most toxic congener TCDD is defined as 1. The tolerable weekly intake TWI set by the European Commission is 14pg WHO-PCDD/F-TEQ/kg bw. The "body burden" of adults in industrial countries is about 2-6 ng WHO-PCDD/F-TEQ/kg bw., or about double this value if PCB's are also considered. There is a very broad range of toxic effects of "dioxins". Many of the congeners can induce toxic responses at very low "body burdens". The most sensitive effects are immunosuppression, developmental and reproductive toxicity, as well as neurological behavioral effects. These effects occur at "body burdens" whih are close to background exposure of the human. Cancerogenic effects are induced at higher exposure (Seveso, industrial exposure). TCDD was considered a "complete carcinogen" by the IARC (Group 1). There is a broad range of carcinogenic effects, and there is no "hallmark" effect. Most toxic effects induced by TCDD are mediated by binding to the Ah-receptor (Ah-R) which binds together with a second protein, ARNT, to the respone elements of a number of target genes, and thus modulates gene expression. "Dioxins" are strong promotors, but weak initiators. The multitude of interactions of the Ah-R and ARNT ("receptor cross-talk") results in numerous molecular and cellular effects. The TCDD-Ah-R complex can also bind to the response element of the estrogen receptor, and thus can block the effects of es-trogens. This explains the fact that TCDD can be an estrogen antagonist reducing or preventing mamma carcinoma. Other Ah-R ligands occur in vegetables (e.g. indoles, flavones) and will possibly be developed in the future as functional substances. PCB's have similar properties to TCDD if they can exist in a planar configuration (dioxin-like PCB's). The non-dioxin-like PCB's always occur together with "dioxins"; their toxixty cannot be adequately determined although they occur in high concenrations. The consumption of food contaminated with "dioxins" need not directly lead to a toxic effect. Due to the continous cumulation of "dioxins" repeated ingestion of contaminated food could result in an increase of the "body burden" and thus chronic toxicity. This shows that the exposure of the human to dioxins should be minimized wherever possible.  相似文献
