Two growth trials were completed on post-metamorphosed Atlantic cod (Gadus morhua) for a period of four weeks to determine the optimal temperature for best growth and feed efficiency. The same experiment was repeated twice under similar conditions to determine the effect of four temperature regimes (10, 12, 14 and 16 °C) on randomly selected juvenile cod with an initial weight ranging from 0.34 to 0.51 g. Post-metamorphosed cod grown at 14 and 16 °C were significantly larger at the end of the experiments than the fish grown at 10 or 12 °C, with specific growth rates following a similar trend (p < 0.05). Fish held at 16 °C utilized feed less efficiently than those held at the lower temperatures in experiment II and the highest feed efficiency was observed in fish held at 10 °C (p < 0.05). The results of the feed efficiency and the maximum growth per degree (dG / dTmax) in experiment II suggest that the feed efficiency was likely maximized at a lower temperature than those used in this study. By using data collected from sub-samples of fish in experiment II, maximum growth (Gmax) was estimated at 14.5 °C using a growth temperature model. Cannibalism was a problem in the first experiment but was greatly reduced in experiment II by feeding a larger size feed pellet (2 mm).  相似文献

Oxygen consumption rates (mg O2/kg fish/min; OC) of juvenile palm fish (average weight 420 g) were determined for temperatures of 14 and 18 °C. Three replicates of two tanks rearing fish at a density of 24 kg/m3 were used to measure OC at 34 ppt working as open respirometers in a recirculating system under farm-like conditions. The fish were fed commercial dry pelleted feeds at a ratio of 1% of total biomass. Oxygen consumption rates were determined by mass balance calculations. The OC increased from 1.6 to 2.4 g O2/kg fish/day as temperature increased from 14 to 18 °C. The determination of oxygen consumption by palm fish in farm-like conditions provides valuable information on the oxygen requirement of these fish in an aquacultural setting. This bioengineering information can be used for designing and sizing a rearing facility for the intensive culture of palm fish.  相似文献

In this study the effects of exposure to two air temperatures (15 and 27.5 °C) and three graders commonly used in South Australia (Rotary, Flat Bed and Inside/Out) on Pacific oysters were investigated using post-exposure or post-grading catecholamine levels as a stress indicator. During the 48 h experimental period the circulating dopamine and noradrenaline levels of oysters exposed to 15 °C air temperature did not differ significantly from controls sampled directly from the 15 °C water tank. Conversely, in oysters exposed to 27.5 °C air temperature, dopamine and noradrenaline became significantly different from controls after 8 and 12 h air exposure, respectively, and then returned to the control levels at 24 h.Significant increases (P < 0.05) in circulating noradrenaline and dopamine levels were observed in oysters graded by the Flat Bed and the Inside/Out graders. The circulating noradrenaline concentrations in oysters subjected to the Flat Bed grader were significantly higher (P < 0.05) than those observed in the Rotary graded oysters and close to being significantly higher (P = 0.052) than those levels measured in the Inside/Out graded oysters. The circulating noradrenaline levels in oysters subjected to the Inside/Out grader were, in turn, significantly higher than those recorded in the Rotary graded oysters. These results suggest that in relation to the three graders used in South Australia, the Flat Bed induces the highest stress levels in oysters and the Rotary grader the lowest.  相似文献

A 50-day experiment was conducted to investigate the effectiveness of the bio-flocs technology for maintaining good water quality in over-wintering ponds for tilapia hybrid fingerlings (Oreochromis niloticus × Oreochromis aureus). To preserve adequate water temperatures in the ponds, they were covered with polyethylene sheets and the water exchange rate was minimized to increase pond water temperature. To avoid water quality deterioration, starch was added to the ponds to stimulate the formation of bio-flocs. Temperature in the covered ponds could easily be controlled and was 0.4–4.9 °C higher than the influent water. Adjusting the C/N ratio in the ponds by adding starch or increasing the amount of carbohydrates added through the feed limited the presence of inorganic nitrogen species when the C/N was about 20, even at high stocking densities of 20 kg/m3 at harvest. Fish survival levels were excellent, being 97 ± 6% for 100 g fish and 80 ± 4% for 50 g fish. Moreover, at harvest the condition of the fish was good in all ponds with a fish condition factor of 2.1–2.3. Overall, these findings can help to overcome over-wintering problems, particularly mass mortality of fish due to low temperatures in the ponds.  相似文献

Laboratory experiments were conducted to test the hypothesis that temperature (2–10 °C) and recent feeding history (1–14 days food deprivation) influence the activity and feeding motivation of Pacific halibut (Hippoglossus stenolepis). Activity was examined before and after presentation of a chemical cue prepared from squid (Loligo opalescens). Spontaneous activity in 2 °C was essentially zero and increased with temperature. Searching behavior increased with cue introduction in all treatments and search intensity was closely correlated with temperature. Food deprivation did not significantly affect either pre- or post-cue activity. The number of baits located, attacked and consumed increased with temperature, and the times required to accomplish those behaviors decreased significantly with temperature. In most cases, very slow responses occurred at 2 °C, differences between 4 and 6 °C were small and not significant, and times were shortest in 10 °C. Temperature did not have a significant effect on latency in attack or bait handling time, and feeding history had no significant effects on any of the timed measures. These results indicate a large potential impact of temperature on Pacific halibut catchability in longline surveys. Stock size could be significantly underestimated in a cold season or cold year and in deep water environments where temperatures are low.  相似文献

Two 3-month experiments were conducted to investigate the effects of temperature and water calcium concentrations on growth, survival and moulting of freshwater crayfish (Paranephrops zealandicus). Both experiments were conducted using three replicates of five treatments (water temperatures of 14, 16, 18, 20 and 22 °C for Experiment 1 and water calcium concentrations of 0, 5, 10, 30 and 80 mg/L for Experiment 2). Growth rates increased with water temperature (maximum specific growth rate = 0.57) but were unchanged with increased water calcium concentration. Variability in growth rates decreased with increased water calcium concentrations. Survival decreased as water temperatures exceeded 16 °C and increased with water calcium concentrations above 10 mg/L. Inter-moult period decreased from > 90 ± 20 days at water temperatures of 14 °C to ∼ 40 ± 10 days at water temperatures > 20 °C. Moult increment of the crayfish was unaltered by either water temperature or water calcium concentrations. The optimum water temperature for productivity under conditions employed was 16 °C.  相似文献

In this study, we prove that the mass die-offs occurring in conjunction with red adductor disease in pearl oysters are caused by an infection. Our research also reveals the influence of water temperature on the onset of the disease and its progress, and we propose measures that are effective in mitigating harm from the disease.To analyze the effect of water temperature on the onset and progress of the disease, laboratory infection experiments were performed over a range of water temperatures (13 °C–31 °C). The experiments showed that disease onset and progress were highly dependent on water temperature. No outbreak was observed at temperatures below 16 °C, while the adductors of experimentally infected oysters turned red in a short time at temperatures between 19 °C and 31 °C. Our research showed that the cumulative water temperature value for days when water temperature was above 19 °C (AT19 = Σ(Ti), Ti > 19) is an effective numerical indicator for the onset of red adductor disease.We also found that when pearl oysters already infected with red adductor disease at a high rate are kept at water temperatures below 16 °C in the winter for a certain minimum period of time, clinical signs regress, and that this treatment is also effective in delaying relapses of the disease with rising water temperatures in the spring. We determined a numerical indicator for finding the low-temperature index that is most effective in delaying disease onset. This is the low-temperature burden based on the number of days with water temperatures of 16 °C or below and those days' temperatures (LTI16 = Σ(16  Ti), Ti < 16 °C). We found that the larger the LTI16 value, the greater the effectiveness in suppressing the onset of red adductor disease. Hence, appropriate low-water-temperature management in the winter helps prevent the relapse and progress of the disease in the spring and beyond when water temperature rises.Results of this research strongly suggest that the LTI16 value in wintering fisheries and the cumulative water temperature of the days in spring and beyond when the water temperature is above 19 °C (AT19) make it possible to predict when red adductor disease will break out in pearl oysters, and therefore help efforts to mitigate damage from relapses.  相似文献

The effect of different food (live Acetes spp., live Mysis spp., frozen Mysis spp., and mixed food of 50% live Acetes spp. and 50% frozen Mysis spp.) on gonad development of seahorses, Hippocampus kuda Bleeker, was evaluated in this experiment. The developmental durations of testes and ovary of seahorses were significantly different among the four experimental treatments. The live Acetes spp. treatment presented the shortest developmental durations to stage V, which were 87.6 ± 3.84 days and 89.2 ± 3.71 days, respectively, for ovary and testes. The frozen Mysis spp. treatment had the longest developmental durations (F3,15 = 13.284, P < 0.05). The relationship between developmental duration of the ovary and gonad developmental stages could be formulated: Y1 = 12.04x + 24.36 (r2 = 0.9722, n = 16, P < 0.05). The gonadosomatic index (GSI) of parent seahorses among the four treatments differed significantly (F3,15 = 18.364, P < 0.05). The standard GSI of seahorses fed live Acetes spp. was 15.64 ± 1.65%, which was the highest. Feeding live food had a significant effect on the fecundity and spawning of seahorses. The fecundity and spawning number of the live Acetes spp. treatment were 598 ± 45.49 and 552 ± 49.19 individuals, respectively, which were dramatically higher than those of frozen treatment (F3,19 = 34.152, P < 0.05). Live food also had a similar effect on the fertilization and hatching rate during the embryonic development of seahorses (F3,19 = 11.386, P < 0.05). Food treatment could also induce an indirect effect on survival rate of juveniles through gonadal and embryonic development of the parents (F3,15 = 14.519, P < 0.05). In this experiment, the mortality within parent seahorses in the frozen Mysis spp. treatment was the highest (15.1 ± 6.55%), and the survival of juveniles was the highest in the live Acetes spp. treatment (90.4 ± 2.26% at 10 days). In conclusion, feeding live Acetes spp. significantly benefited the gonadal and embryonic development of H. kuda.The effect of temperature (22 °C, 24 °C, 26 °C, 28 °C, 30 °C and 32 °C) on the hatching time of H. kuda was also studied. We demonstrated that the higher the temperature, the shorter the hatching time, as well as the higher the hatching speed. The relationship between hatching time and temperature could be expressed: T =  39.337 t + 677.75 (r2 = 0.9755, n = 30, P < 0.05). In this finding, we provided the sum of effective temperature (SET) and threshold temperature of embryonic development of H. kuda (14066.9 °C h 1 and 13.7 °C, respectively). This new information on the effect of feeding type and culture temperature is beneficial for the commercial rearing and breeding industry of this species.  相似文献

A jet fish pump with a throat of ø60 mm was designed to study its performance in the transport of different fish species and the physiological changes in fish thereafter. Experiments were conducted to investigate the fish transport rate and energy required to transport each ton of fish when transporting Carassius auratus, commonly known as the Chinese goldfish, Megalobrama amblycephala, or Wuchang bream, and Ctenopharyngodon idella, the grass carp. Fish were examined for external injuries as well as for several important enzymes and hormones which are indicators of tissue injury and stress. The results showed that the transport rate for all three species of fish rose dramatically with an increase in the primary stream rate. In this experiment, the transport rates of C. auratus, M. amblycephala and C. idella reached 2357 ± 37.2 kg  h−1, 2888 ± 41.6 kg  h−1, and 2060 ± 40.2 kg  h−1, respectively. However, both injury rate and energy required to transport each ton of fish increased no matter whether the primary stream rate was too low or too high. Considering both transport rate and injury rate, the mean primary stream rate of 80 m3  h−1 was determined to be the optimal operating condition in this experiment. Fish were stressed and most likely some of their organs were damaged. However, most physiological indexes almost fully recovered after several hours.  相似文献

Effects of thermal amplitude of diel fluctuating temperature on the growth, food consumption, food conversion efficiency and apparent digestibility coefficient of Chinese shrimp, Fenneropenaeus chinensis (Osbeck), with initial body weight of 0.36 ± 0.04 g were studied at average temperature 25, 28 and 31 °C from May to July, 2000. Among four diel different fluctuation amplitudes of ± 1, ± 2, ± 3 and ± 4°C, the growth rate of shrimp at 25 ± 2, 25 ± 3, 28 ± 2 and 31 ± 1 °C were significantly higher than those at corresponding constant temperatures of 25, 28 and 31 °C, respectively, while growth rate at 31 ± 4 °C was significantly lower than at 31 °C. There is a trend that the optimal thermal amplitude for shrimp growth decreased with the increase of average temperature in the present study. The growth rate of Chinese shrimp was a quadratic function of the thermal amplitude at the same average temperature. Such a growth model may be described byG=β0+β1(TA)+β2(TA)2where G represents the specific growth rate on a 33-day basis, TA is thermal amplitude in degree Celsius, β0 is intercept on G axis, and β1 and β2 are the regression coefficients. The optimal thermal amplitude for the growth of shrimp at sizes of this experiment at average temperature of 25, 28 and 31 °C was estimated to be ± 2.0, ± 2.2 and ± 1.4 °C, respectively. The changes of food conversion efficiency were similar to the growth rate, while the trends of food consumption of shrimp between fluctuating temperature and constant temperature were variable at different average temperatures. There was no significant difference in apparent digestibility coefficient between diel fluctuating temperatures and corresponding constant temperatures. Therefore, more food consumption, high food conversion efficiency and more energy partitioned into growth might account for the enhancement in the growth of shrimp at the diel fluctuating temperatures in the present study.  相似文献

A study was conducted to estimate the optimum requirement of dietary phosphorus for large yellow croaker in floating sea cages (1.0 × 1.0 × 1.5 m). Five practical diets were formulated to contain graded levels (0.30%, 0.55%, 0.69%, 0.91% and 1.16%) of available phosphorus from dietary ingredients and monocalcium phosphate (MCP). Each diet was randomly assigned to triplicate groups of 180 juvenile fish (initial body weight, 1.88 ± 0.02 g). Fish were fed twice daily (5:00 and 17:00) to satiation for 8 weeks. During the experimental period, the water temperature fluctuated from 26.5 to 32.5 °C, salinity from 32‰ to 36‰ and dissolved oxygen was more than 7 mg l 1. Specific growth rate (SGR) significantly increased with increasing available phosphorus from 0.30% to 0.69% of diet (P < 0.05), and then leveled off. The body composition analysis showed that the whole-body ash and lipid, as well as phosphorus content in the whole body, vertebrae and scales were significantly affected by dietary available phosphorus level (P < 0.05). Broken-line analysis based on SGR indicated the minimum available phosphorus requirement for the optimal growth of large yellow croaker was 0.70%. Based on the phosphorus content in either vertebrae or whole body, the requirements were 0.89% and 0.91%, respectively.  相似文献

Irrigated rice fields have enormous potential for expanding the aquaculture production in rice producing countries. Two field experiments were carried out at the Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh, to optimize the productivity of integrated rice–fish systems using Nile tilapia, Oreochromis niloticus (L.), and common carp, Cyprinus carpio L. Both experiments were laid out in a randomized complete block design with three replicates per treatment and regular rice monoculture as control. In the first trial, carp and tilapia were tested in single culture and in mixed culture with supplementary feeding at 2× maintenance level. The highest fish yield was obtained in the carp/tilapia mixed culture (586 ± 125 kg ha 1), followed by tilapia alone (540 ± 65 kg ha 1), and carp alone (257 ± 95 kg ha 1). Carp had significantly lower yield than the other two fish groups (p < 0.05) due to high mortality and inefficient feed utilization. As the carp/tilapia combination performed the best in the first experiment, it was tested with different inputs in the second trial, i.e. regular urea fertilization and two different feeding levels. The feeding levels were: continuous feeding at 2× maintenance level (feed level I) and a declining feeding schedule from 4× to 2× maintenance level (feed level II). The highest fish yield was obtained in feed level II (935 ± 29 kg ha 1), followed by feed level I (776 ± 22 kg ha 1), and the non-fed group (515 ± 85 kg ha 1). Yield differences between the treatments were significant at p < 0.05. Rice yields showed controversial effects between the rice–fish treatments and were dependent on the inputs provided. The highest rice production (4.2 t ha 1) was obtained from rice–fish plots with regular urea fertilization. Various significant effects of fish on water quality parameters were observed. Fish decreased the dissolved oxygen (DO) and pH value compared to rice only, especially when supplementary feed was provided. Moreover, fish stimulated the growth of phytoplankton and increased chlorophyll-a concentration. In conclusion, carp/tilapia mixed culture with supplementary feeding was found to be optimal for maximizing the output from rice–fish culture.  相似文献

Growth of juvenile pollack was assessed at five constant temperatures (9, 12, 15, 18 and 21 °C) in an 84-day trial. Duplicate groups of 75 fish (initial weight 143 ± 2 g) were held in O2 saturated water (102–103% saturation) and fed to apparent satiation. Growth increased as temperature increased from 9 °C up to a plateau at 12–15 °C (NS differences between 12 and 15 °C) followed by a decrease from 18 °C. No growth occurred at 21 °C. For the overall period, specific growth rates were 0.52% and 0.53% day 1 at 12 and 15 °C compared to 0.40% day 1 at 18 °C. Feed intake was maximum at 15–18 °C (0.68–0.69% day 1) and it was significantly lower at 21 °C (0.45% day 1). Apparent feed conversion ratio was significantly higher at 18 °C than at 12–15 °C (1.8 compared to 1.2–1.4). There was no significant change in fish whole body composition related to temperature.At the end of the experiment, fish growth recovery following a transfer from 18 and 21 °C to 15 °C was assessed using a 50-day challenge test. Growth rate of the previous 21 °C group was the same as in the 15 °C group (NS differences) and in the previous 18 °C group it was significantly lower. The study showed that pollack have a high capacity to recover from a prolonged period of low or no growth induced by high temperatures.  相似文献

This study investigated formaldehyde removal in submerged fixed media biofilters in commercial and pilot scale recirculation aquaculture systems. Steady removal of formaldehyde (F) was observed immediately after simulated therapeutic treatment in closed systems and complete removal occurred within 1–4 days depending on water temperature. Formaldehyde removal was dependent on available biofilter surface area, and comparable rates of surface specific removal (SSR) were observed in two different systems. SSR was positively correlated to temperature (Q10 = 3.4) with estimates of 2.1 mg F/(m2 h) at 5.7 °C to 6.5 ± 0.2 mg F/(m2 h) at 14.5 °C. The estimates for SSR of formaldehyde can be used to predict actual treatment and effluent concentration with more accuracy. Furthermore, the results allow calculation on biofilter removal capacity of formaldehyde, applicable for developing biofilters ensuring sufficient formaldehyde removal in effluent water.  相似文献

The fish were fed commercial dry pelleted feeds at a ratio of ∼0.70–3.00% of body weight (BW) and stocked at densities between 94% and 316% percent coverage area (PCA). Oxygen consumption rates were determined by mass balance calculations. The mean and maximum oxygen consumption rates (g O2/kg fish/day) for juvenile California halibut under the conditions tested can be expressed by Mday = 15.077W−0.2452 and Mday = 17.266W−0.2033, respectively, where W is fish weight in grams. The determination of oxygen consumption by California halibut in farm-like conditions provides valuable information on the oxygen requirement of these fish in an aquacultural setting. Neon flying squid (Ommastrephes bartramii) plays an important role in the pelagic ecosystem and is an international fishery resource with high commercial value in the North Pacific Ocean. The west stock of winter–spring cohort of this species is an important target for the squid-jigging vessels of Japan, Korea and China (including Taiwan). The squid has a life span of less than 12 months, and its population dynamics is heavily influenced by its environment. Thus, a good understanding of its interactions with the habitats, often quantified with a habitat suitability index (HSI) model, is critical in developing a sustainable fishery. In this study, using the Chinese commercial squid-jigger fishery data and corresponding environmental variables we conducted HSI modeling to evaluate the habitat of the west stock of winter–spring cohort of neon flying squid in the northwestern Pacific Ocean. We compared catch per unit effort (CPUE) and fishing effort data in HSI modeling. This study suggests that the CPUE-based HSI model tends to overestimate the ranges of optimal habitats and under-estimate monthly variations in the spatial distribution of optimal habitats. We conclude that a fishing effort-based HSI model performs better in defining optimal habitats for neon flying squid. According to the fishing-effort-based HSI model, the optimal ranges of the following key habitat variables are defined: from 16.6 to 19.6 °C for SST, from 5.8 to 12 °C for temperature at depths of 35 m, from 3.4 to 4.8 °C for temperature at depth of 317 m, from 33.10 to 33.55 psu for SSS and from ?20 cm to ?4 cm for SLH.  相似文献

Performance of sediment microbial fuel cell (SMFC) with external resistance (SMFC-1) as well as short-circuited mode (SMFC-2) was evaluated at different operating temperatures (28–30 °C and 21–25 °C) and in presence and absence of aeration at the cathode. The performance was evaluated in terms of chemical oxygen demand (COD) removal and total kjeldahl nitrogen (TKN) removal for offering in situ treatment of aquaculture pond water. SMFC-2 demonstrated maximum COD and TKN removal efficiencies both in the absence and presence of aeration near cathode as compared to SMFC-1. With aeration at cathode, the COD and TKN removal efficiencies were 79.4% and 92.6% in SMFC-1 and 84.4% and 95.3% in SMFC-2, respectively. Without aeration and at lower operating temperature, the COD and TKN removals were slightly lower, yet satisfying aquaculture quality norms. SMFCs demonstrated effective in situ remediation of aquaculture water and can drastically save the operating cost of aquaculture.  相似文献

Avoidance reactions of young-of-the-year fish assemblages were investigated in the offshore zone of three reservoirs in the Czech Republic during late summer. Pikeperch (Stizostedion lucioperca) strongly dominated in the Lipno Reservoir in 2003, bream (Abramis brama) and bleak (Alburnus alburnus) were the most abundant species in the Slapy Reservoir in 2004 and roach (Rutilus rutilus) and bleak dominated in the Želivka Reservoir in 2004 and 2005. Densities of fry ranged between 1.09 ind./100 m3 in the Lipno Reservoir and 2.95 ind./100 m3 in the Slapy Reservoir. In each reservoir, three trawl nets of different widths (dimensions 1.5 m × 3 m, 3 m × 3 m, 6 m × 3 m) were used in the pelagic area at night. For each trawl the estimated fish density was determined as the catch per 100 m3 of water and was compared between all three trawls. The fish length–frequency distribution was also compared between all the trawls. Day catches were much lower compared with those taken at night. Adult fish showed very clear avoidance of fry trawls. At night, no important differences in estimated fry density, obtained by these trawls, were observed in any locality for any fish species, nor in the length distribution of important species between trawls. According to these results, the avoidance reactions of fry in the late summer (August, September), at night, are unimportant. At this time of year, nighttime pelagic trawling appears to be an effective method for quantitative fry sampling. We recommend the 3 m × 3 m trawl for quantitative night sampling of the fry community as a good compromise between assured efficiency and relatively easy handling.  相似文献

A 20-week feeding trial was carried out to investigate the influence of three palm oil products as the principal dietary lipid source on the growth performance, proximate composition, tissue fatty acid composition and nutrient digestibility of red hybrid tilapia (Oreochromis sp.) fed these diets from stocking to marketable size. Four isonitrogenous (30% crude protein) and isoenergetic (16.5 kJ g 1) practical diets were formulated with 8% of added fish oil (FO), crude palm oil (CPO), palm fatty acid distillate (PFAD) or refined, bleached and deodorized palm olein (RBDPO), respectively. Each diet was fed to triplicate groups of 30 fish of 31.24 ± 0.05 g mean initial body weight. The tilapia were raised at 29 ± 1 °C in 12 round 1000 L fiberglass tanks with a continuous water flow rate of about 1.8 L/min.Results showed that the source of added lipid did not significantly influence (P > 0.05) final body weight, specific growth rate, feed conversion ratio, survival, body indices, hematocrit and production yield of tilapia. There was no significant difference in the fillet proximate composition of fish fed the various diets, except that fish fed the PFAD diet showed lower lipid deposition. The deposition of fatty acids in fish tissues was generally influenced by the fatty acid profile of the diets. Fillet fatty acid profiles of tilapia fed palm oil-based diets had significantly higher concentrations of saturated and monounsaturated fatty acids, but lower levels of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) compared to the fish fed the FO diet. Fillet of fish fed the FO diet had significantly higher concentrations of EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) compared with fish fed palm oil-based diets. Dietary lipid source did not significantly affect dry matter and protein digestibility (62.1–64.8% and 83.5–85.0%, respectively). The inclusion of dietary palm-origin oils significantly reduced the total lipid digestibility of the diets due mainly to the decreased digestibility of the saturated fatty acids. In all treatments, the apparent digestibilities of both n  3 and n  6 PUFA were the highest, followed by monoenes, while the lowest were the saturated fatty acids. Despite the high free fatty acid content of PFAD (92.2%) compared to CPO (4.8%) and RBDPO (0.1%), the different free fatty acid content did not significantly affect the nutrient digestibility of the palm oil-based diets. Results obtained confirmed the feasibility of feeding tilapia with palm oil-based diets with a 100% substitution of added dietary fish oil throughout the grow-out cycle until marketable size.  相似文献
