A 12 weeks of feeding trial was conducted to evaluate the effects of different levels of dietary yellow loess as an antibiotic (oxytetracycline) replacer in rainbow trout, Oncorhynchus mykiss. Five experimental diets were formulated to contain no antibiotics or yellow loess (control/CON), three graded levels of yellow loess 5 (YL5), 10 (YL10) and 20 g YL kg?1 diet (YL20) and oxytetracycline at 5 g OTC kg?1 diet. Forty‐five fish averaging 39.4 ± 1.6 g (mean ± SD) were randomly distributed in to 15 aquaria. Triplicate groups of fish were fed one of the experimental diets at 1.5 ~ 1.9% of wet body weight per day. At the end of the feeding trial, average weight gain (WG) and specific growth rate (SGR) from fish fed CON diet were significantly lower than those from fish fed YL10, YL20 or OTC diets (< 0.05). Lysozyme activity from fish fed YL20 was detected to be significantly higher than that from fish fed CON diet (< 0.05). While, superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity from fish fed YL10 and YL20 was recorded to be significantly higher than that from fish fed CON diet (< 0.05). Fourteen days of challenge test with bacteria A. salmonicida showed significantly lower survival rate for CON than those of fish fed other experimental diets. Therefore, these results indicated that dietary yellow loess at 10–20 g kg?1 could be a promising alternative of oxytetracycline in rainbow trout.  相似文献

The present study was conducted to evaluate the efficacy of organic acid blends as dietary antibiotic replacer in marine fish olive flounder, Paralichthys olivaceus. Fish averaging 3.5 ± 0.05 g (mean ± SD) were fed one of the four experimental diets: (1) without antibiotic or organic acid (Control/CON); (2) with antibiotic—50 mg oxytetracycline per kg body weight per day (OTC); (3) with organic acid blend A—4 g/kg diet (OAA); and (4) with organic acid blend B—4 g/kg diet (OAB), for 10 weeks. At the end of the experiment, total intestinal bacterial counts in fish‐fed OAA, OAB and OTC were significantly lower than that of fish‐fed CON diet (< 0.05). Further, the group of fish‐fed organic acid blends (OAA, OAB) or antibiotic (OTC)‐supplemented diets exhibited lower intestinal Vibrio sp. counts compared with fish‐fed CON diet. Disease challenge test with bacteria Edwardsiella tarda showed significantly lower cumulative mortality rates for the group of fish‐fed OAA, OAB or OTC than that of fish‐fed CON diet (< 0.05). There were no negative effects on the growth, serological characteristics and proximate composition among the group of fish‐fed different experimental diets. Therefore, the present experiment demonstrates that blends of organic acid could be a promising alternative to dietary antibiotics for the preventive and/or curative health management in marine fish olive flounder aquaculture.  相似文献

A 12‐week feeding trial was conducted to evaluate the optimum dietary inorganic copper (copper sulphate) in juvenile beluga, Huso huso. Eight semi‐purified diets containing 1.1 (Cu1.0), 3.5 (Cu4.0), 7.1 (Cu7.0), 9.7 (Cu10), 13.1 (Cu13), 25.1 (Cu25), 49.9 (Cu50) and 195 (Cu195) mg Cu kg?1 diet in the form of CuSO4.5H2O were fed to fish of initial body weight 8.49 ± 0.32 g and length 11.85 ± 0.66 cm (mean ± SD) in triplicate groups in a flow‐through system. Weight gain (WG) of fish fed Cu10 and Cu13 diets was significantly higher than that of fish fed Cu1.0, Cu4.0, Cu25, Cu50 and Cu195 diets (P < 0.05). Whole‐body and muscle crude protein increased with dietary Cu up to the supplementation level of 13.1 mg kg?1 diet and then decreased. Whole‐body lipid content was negatively correlated, while whole‐body ash was positively correlated with dietary copper concentration. Hepatic copper–zinc superoxide dismutase activity of fish fed Cu10 and Cu13 diets was significantly higher than that of fish fed Cu1.0, Cu4.0 and Cu195 diets. Hepatic thiobarbituric acid‐reactive substances of fish fed Cu13 diet was significantly lower than those of fish fed the other diets except for that of fish fed Cu10 diet. Aspartate aminotransferase, alanine aminotransferase and copper accumulation in tissues increased with dietary copper. Broken‐line analysis of WG suggested that the optimum dietary Cu level was 10.3 mg Cu kg?1 diet. Therefore, these results may indicate that the optimum dietary Cu levels could be greater than 10.3 mg Cu kg?1 diet but less than 13.1 mg Cu kg?1 diet in juvenile beluga, when copper sulphate is used as the dietary source of inorganic copper.  相似文献

The effect of dietary probiotics (Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus licheniformis and Enterococcus faecium) was assessed on rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss Walbaum) previously treated with oxolinic acid. After feeding on supplemented diets for 10 weeks growth performance, feed utilization, gastrointestinal colonization and health status were assessed. B. subtilis + B. licheniformis fed fish displayed a significant improvement of feed conversation ration (FCR), specific growth rate (SGR) and protein efficiency ratio (PER). High levels of probiotic species were observed in the posterior gastrointestinal tract as transient digesta associated populations and potentially resident mucosal populations. Levels of Bacillus spp. reached log 3.74 CFU g?1 on the mucosal epithelium and log 7.41 CFU g?1 in the digesta of fish fed diets supplemented with B. subtilis and B. licheniformis. Enterococci levels reached log 2.84 CFU g?1 on the mucosa and log 7.78 CFU g?1 in the digesta of fish fed E. faecium supplemented diets. Feeding trout the Bacillus probionts alone or synergistically with E. faecium resulted in elevated leucocyte levels. The results of the current study demonstrate a potential role of probiotics for stabilizing/reinforcing the gastrointestinal microbiota after antibiotic treatment. This could reinvigorate the intestinal defensive barrier mechanism and provide protection against secondary potential pathogens.  相似文献

The present experiment was conducted to evaluate the efficacy of an additive derived from the nature as an alternative of dietary antibiotic in Japanese eel, Anguilla japonica. Six experimental diets were formulated to contain no antibiotics or additive (yellow loess/YL) (control/CON), three graded levels of yellow loess at 5 (YL5), 10 (YL10) and 20 g/kg (YL20), oxytetracycline at 5 (OTC) and amoxicillin at 10 g/kg amoxicillin (AMX) of diet. Weight gain (WG) and specific growth rate (SGR) from fish fed CON or YL5 diets were significantly lower than those of fish fed YL20 or OTC diets. Among non‐specific enzyme, lysozyme activity of fish fed YL20, OTC or AMX was detected to be significantly higher than that from fish fed CON or YL5 diets, whereas superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity of the fish fed CON was significantly lower than that for fish fed other experimental diets. Challenge test with bacteria, Edwardsiella tarda, showed improved disease resistance among the fish fed different levels of natural additive without any statistical difference from those fed antibiotics (OTC and/or AMX) supplemented diets. Therefore, these results demonstrated the potential of natural feed additive, yellow loess to replace oxytetracycline and/or amoxicillin in Japanese eel, A. japonica.  相似文献

A feeding trial was conducted to determine the optimum level and effect of incremental dietary levels of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA, 22:6n‐3) on growth and non‐specific immune responses in juvenile rock bream, Oplegnathus fasciatus. A basal diet without DHA supplementation was used as a control, and six other diets were prepared by supplementing with 4, 8, 12, 16, 20 or 40 g kg?1 DHA. These diets included no eicosapentaenoic acid and/or arachidonic acid contents. The actual DHA concentrations of the diets were 1, 4.8, 8.9, 13.1, 17.6, 21.2 and 41.4 g kg?1 diet (DHA1.0, DHA4.8, DHA8.9, DHA13.1, DHA17.6, DHA21.2 and DHA41.4 respectively). At the end of feeding trial, final body weight, weight gain, specific growth rate and feed efficiency of fish fed the DHA13.1, DHA17.6, DHA21.2 and DHA41.4 diets were significantly higher than those fed the other diets (P < 0.05). The broken‐line analysis of weight gain indicates that the optimum dietary DHA level is 11.9 g kg?1. Fish fed DHA1.0 had the highest hepatosomatic index, an increase in plasma cholesterol, triglyceride, low‐density lipoprotein and aspartate aminotransferase levels, as well as a decrease in high‐density lipoprotein. Superoxide dismutase activity of fish fed DHA13.1 and DHA17.6 diets was significantly higher than that of fish fed DHA1.0, DHA4.8 and DHA8.9 diets. Fish fed the DHA17.6, DHA21.2 and DHA41.4 diets showed significantly higher lysozyme activity than those fish fed DHA1.0, DHA4.8 and DHA8.9 diets. Therefore, the optimum dietary DHA level could be greater than 11.9 g kg?1 but less than 13.1 g kg?1 in diet.  相似文献

Triplicate groups of triploid and diploid Atlantic salmon were fed diets with a low (LP, total P: 7.1 g kg?1), medium (MP, total P: 9.4 g kg?1) or high (HP, total P: 16.3 g kg?1) phosphorous (P) level from first feeding (0.18 g) to transfer to sea water (~50 g, duration: 203 days) and subsequently fed a commercial diet in sea water for 426 days (~3 kg). This study examined the short‐ and long‐term effects of dietary P on freshwater performance (mortality, growth), vertebral deformities (radiology), bone cell activity (ALP and TRACP enzyme activity in vertebrae and scales, and fgf23, bgp and igf‐I relative gene expression in vertebrae), bone mineralization (ash content) and some parameters related to fish condition (heart and liver size). Irrespective of ploidy, at seawater transfer, fish fed the MP diet had significantly highest length and weight and those fed the LP diet significantly lowest length and weight, while those fed the HP diet had intermediate lengths and weights. Increased dietary phosphorus reduced deformities in both ploidies at seawater transfer; however, triploids fed the LP and MP diets had more deformities than diploids fed the respective diets, while there was no ploidy effect observed for fish fed the HP diet. The vertebral bone ash content at seawater transfer was significantly higher in diploids than in triploids when fed the MP diet only. Alkaline phosphatase (ALP) and tartrate‐resistant acid phosphatase (TRACP) enzyme activities and relative gene expression of bone hormones involved in metabolism of plasma phosphate (fgf23) and bone growth (bgp) were not affected by ploidy at seawater transfer, but by dietary P level; LP increased ALP activity and reduced TRACP activity and fgf23 and bgp expression levels in vertebral bone. In scales, LP increased both ALP and TRACP activity. At the termination of the seawater period, the group‐wise pattern in occurrence of vertebral deformities was the same as at seawater transfer. The present results on mortality, growth, bone mineralization and development of skeletal deformities all demonstrate that triploids have a higher P requirement than diploids in fresh water. This study shows that an optimalization of P nutrition for triploid Atlantic salmon can improve health and welfare and reduce down‐grading of triploid salmon.  相似文献

This experiment was conducted to compare the effects of different sources of selenium (Se) on growth, muscle Se concentration, muscle proximate composition, blood enzymes and antioxidant status of common carp, Cyprinus carpio. Organic Se (selenomethionine, SeMet), inorganic Se (sodium selenite, Na2SeO3), or nanoselenium were each added to the basal diet at 0.7 mg Se kg?1 diet. Four groups of fish with an average weight of 9.69 ± 0.12 g were fed one of the experimental diets for 8 weeks. Nano‐Se diet resulted in better growth performance (P < 0.05). Fish fed with Se‐supplemented diets showed a higher (P < 0.05) Se content in the muscle and liver tissues. Fish fed nano‐Se had the highest liver glutathione peroxidase, superoxide dismutase and catalase activities (P < 0.05). Liver malondialdehyde level was significantly (P < 0.05) lower in fish fed on SeMet and nano‐Se diets as compared to control. The carp fed on nano‐Se diet had the lowest values of aspartate transaminase and alanine transaminase. Lactate dehydrogenase activity was significantly lower in fish fed on SeMet and nano‐Se diets. This study shows that nano‐Se acts more efficiently on growth performance and antioxidant defence system of common carp than organic and inorganic sources of Se.  相似文献

The present experiment was conducted to evaluate the effects of trace mineral (Cu, Zn, Mn and Fe) premixes from inorganic and chelated (chelated to 2‐hydroxy‐4‐methylthiobutanoic acid or hydroxy analog of methionine; Mintrex?, Novus International Inc., St. Charles, MO, USA) sources, in rockfish, (Sebastes schlegeli). fed diets containing mineral inhibitor phytic acid. Seven isonitrogenous (46% crude protein/CP) and isocaloric (16.63 KJ available energy per g diet) semi‐purified diets comprising of a Basal control and diets supplemented either with the inorganic (I) or chelated premix (M) at three different levels of 0.75 (I0.75/M0.75), 1.5 (I1.5/M1.5) and 3 (I3/M3) g kg?1 diets were formulated. Twenty‐four fish averaging individual wet body weight of 9 ± 0.2 g (Mean ± SD) were fed one of the experimental diets in quadratic group for 16 weeks. Average weight gain (WG) of fish fed M3 was significantly higher than that of fish fed Basal control and I1.5 diets (< 0.05). Whereas, data for the liver and whole body trace mineral contents showed a higher Cu and Zn saturation among fish fed M3 and M1.5 diets (< 0.05). Furthermore, hepatic Cu‐Zn super oxide dismutase (Cu‐Zn SOD) activity was recorded to be highest for fish fed M3 diet. Whereas, hepatic thiobarbituric acid‐reactive substance (TBARS) value was lowest in fish fed M3 diet (< 0.05). Challenge test with E. tarda showed an improved disease resistance among the fish fed different levels of trace mineral premixes. Therefore, these results demonstrated a higher efficiency of chelated compared to inorganic source of trace mineral premixes in marine rockfish.  相似文献

Six iso‐nitrogenous (350 g protein kg?1) and iso‐caloric (4100 kcal kg?1) diets with or without probiotics supplementation namely T1 (Basal feed (BF) without probiotics; control), T2 (BF + Bacillus subtilis and Lactococcus lactis), T3 (BF + L. lactis and Saccharomyces cerevisiae), T4 (BF + B. subtilis and S. cerevisiae), T5 (BF + B. subtilis, L. lactis and S. cerevisiae) and T6 (BF + heat‐killed bacteria of B. subtilis, L. lactis and S. cerevisiae) were fed to Labeo rohita fingerlings (6.0 ± 0.06 g) for 60 days in triplicate tanks (30 fish per tank). In all probiotic‐supplemented diets, the probiotic concentration was maintained at 1011 cfu kg?1 feed. After 60 days of culture, the fish fed combination of three probiotics at equal proportion (T5) had higher (P < 0.05) growth, protein efficiency ratio, nutrient retention and digestibility and lower (P > 0.05) feed conversion ratio over other treatment groups. Total heterotrophic bacterial population in intestine was drastically reduced on 15th and 30th days of sampling than the initial value (0 day of sampling) for T3, T4 and T5 groups. Except T6, the gut colonization of respective probiotics, which were supplemented through the diets, was also increased up to 30 days of culture of fish and thereafter remained constant.  相似文献

An 8‐week trial was conducted to compare the efficacy of a chelated copper (Cu) with the inorganic Cu (CuSO4), in the diet of Japanese sea bass (Lateolabrax japonicus). Six diets were prepared based on two basal diets (semi‐purified or practical) at two Cu inclusion levels (0 and 4 mg kg?1 from or chelated‐Cu), accordingly named as S0, SI4, SM4, P0, PI4 and PM4 respectively. Each diet was fed to quadruplicate groups of Japanese sea bass (initial weight: 65.0 ± 0.03 g) during the trial. Fish fed practical diets had higher feed intake, specific growth rate, protein efficiency rate (PER), liver Cu accumulation, liver Na+K+‐ATPase and plasma alkaline phosphatase, but lower hepatosomatic index than the groups fed semi‐purified diets (< 0.05). Higher PER was exhibited by fish fed chelated‐Cu diets than that of fish fed CuSO4 diets (< 0.05). Although liver Cu accumulation was significantly higher in fish fed practical diets,, liver Cu content increased significantly with increasing dietary copper levels only in fish fed semipurified diets. Chelated‐Cu has higher efficiency than CuSO4 when fed in practical diets. Poor growth performance of fish fed semipurified diets might induce underestimating the nutrient requirement of Japanese sea bass.  相似文献

We evaluated the effects of some dietary natural mineral materials as an antibiotic replacer based on growth performance, non‐specific immune responses and disease resistance in juvenile and subadult rainbow trout, Oncorhynchus mykiss. First experiment, juvenile rainbow trout averaging 2.7 ± 0.02 g (mean ± SD) were fed one of the six experimental diets; a basal commercial diet as a control (CON), CON with oxytetracycline (OTC), with yellow loess (YL), with Macsumsuk® (MS), with Song‐Gang® stone (SG) and with barley stone (BS) at 0.4% of each diet. At the end of 8‐week feeding trial, weight gain (WG), specific growth rate (SGR), feed efficiency (FE) and protein efficiency ratio (PER) of fish fed YL diet were significantly higher than those of fish fed CON diet. Non‐specific immune responses such as superoxide dismutase (SOD), myeloperoxidase (MPO), lysozyme (LYS) activity and oxidative radical production of fish fed YL diet were higher than those of fish fed CON diet. At the end of 15 days of challenge test with Aeromonas salmonicida, average cumulative survival rate of fish fed YL diet was significantly higher than that of fish fed BS and CON diets. However, there were no significant differences among fish fed YL, SG and OTC diets. Second experiment, subadult rainbow trout averaging 261.5 ± 3.5 g (mean ± SD) were fed one of the four experimental diets for 22 weeks: CON, and CON with OTC, YL or SG at 0.4% of each diet. At the end of feeding, growth performance of fish fed SG and YL diets was significantly higher than that of fish fed CON diet. Non‐specific immune responses in terms of SOD, MPO, LYS and NBT of fish fed SG and YL diets were significantly higher than those of fish fed CON diet. However, there were no significant differences among the fish fed YL, SG and OTC diets. The results indicate that dietary yellow loess or Song‐gang® stone at 0.4% of diet could replace oxytetracycline in juvenile and subadult rainbow trout.  相似文献

This study was conducted to investigate the effects of fructooligosaccharide (FOS) and Bacillus licheniformis (B. licheniformis) on growth performance, body composition, intestinal enzymes activities and gut histology of Megalobrama terminalis. Nine experimental diets were formulated to contain three FOS levels (0, 3 and 6 g kg?1) and three B. licheniformis levels (0, 1 and 5 × 107 CFU g?1) following a 3 × 3 factorial design. Accordingly, diets were named as 0/0, 0/3, 0/6, 1/0, 1/3, 1/6, 5/0, 5/3 and 5/6 (B. licheniformis/FOS). At the end of the 8‐week feeding trial, weight gain (WG) and specific growth rate (SGR) of fish fed 6 g kg?1 FOS were both significantly (< 0.01 and < 0.05) higher than that of the other groups in terms of dietary FOS levels. Besides, WG and SGR of fish fed 1 × 107 CFU g?1 B. licheniformis were significantly (< 0.05) higher than that of the control group in terms of dietary B. licheniformis levels. In addition, a significant interaction (< 0.05) between dietary FOS and B. licheniformis was observed in finial weight, WG, SGR as well as the survival rate with the highest values all observed in fish fed diet 1/3. Hepatosomatic index, carcass lipid content, lipase activities as well as microvilli length increased significantly (< 0.05) from 0 to 1 × 107 CFU g?1, but no significant difference (> 0.05) was observed in terms of dietary FOS levels. In addition, a significant (< 0.05) interaction of FOS and B. licheniformis was observed in both protease and Na+, K+‐ATPase activities with the highest value obtained in fish fed diet 1/3. The results indicated that the dietary applications of dietary FOS and B. licheniformis alone or in combination can significantly improve the growth performance, survival rate, intestinal enzymes activities as well as microvilli length of triangular bream. In addition, there is a significant interaction between dietary FOS and B. licheniformis. The best combination for this species is 3 g kg?1 FOS with 1 × 107 CFU g?1 B. licheniformis.  相似文献

A growth trial was conducted to examine the effect of dietary digestible energy (DE) content on methionine (Met) utilization and requirement in juvenile Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). Ten iso‐nitrogenous (288 g kg?1 protein) practical diets, with two DE levels (10.9 MJ kg?1; 12.4 MJ kg?1) and five methionine supplementation levels (0, 1, 2, 4 and 6 g kg?1), were hand‐fed twice daily to triplicate groups of Nile tilapia (initial body weight 8.95 ± 0.06 g) for 8 weeks. Weight gain (WG) and specific growth rate (SGR) increased significantly with increasing dietary methionine concentration at the same DE content (< 0.001). At the same dietary methionine level, WG and SGR of fish fed high‐DE diets were significantly higher than that of fish fed low‐DE diets (= 0.0001), although no interaction was found between dietary DE and methionine supplementation. Based on quadratic regression analysis between dietary methionine concentration and weight gain, optimal methionine requirement for maximum growth, expressed as g Met required kg?1 diet (low‐ versus high‐DE diets), increased as diet DE concentration increased (7.34 versus 9.90 g kg?1 diet, respectively; with cysteine 4.70 g kg?1 diet). The results indicated that diet DE content affects methionine utilization and requirement in juvenile Nile tilapia, fish fed high‐DE diets required more methionine for maximum growth.  相似文献

This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of dietary inclusion of different levels of fermented macroalga, Enteromorpha prolifera, on the growth performance, digestive enzyme activities and serum non‐specific immunity of red tilapia (Oreochromis mossambicus × Oreochromis niloticus). Fish were fed the control diet or the five diets supplemented with fermented E. prolifera for 7 weeks (diets 1–5 containing 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 g kg?1 of fermented E. prolifera respectively). The results showed that the percentage weight gain and specific growth rate (SGR) improved significantly in fish fed diets 3, 4 and 5, and regression analysis showed SGR reached the maximum in fish fed diet containing 37 g kg?1 fermented E. prolifera, while the feed conversion ratio reduced significantly in fish fed diets 2, 3, 4 and 5, and regression analysis showed it reached its minimum in fish fed diet containing 41 g kg?1 fermented E. prolifera. The pepsin, erepsin, gastric amylase, intestinal amylase, gastric lipase and intestinal lipase activities in fish fed diets 2, 3 and 4 were higher significantly than the control, with the exception of the pepsin activity in fish fed diet 4. The serum total superoxide dismutase, lysozyme, acid phosphatase and alkaline phosphatase activities enhanced significantly in fish fed diets 3 and 4. In conclusion, fermented E. prolifera had positive effects on the growth performance, digestive enzyme activities and serum non‐specific immunity of red tilapia and the recommended dose of fermented E. prolifera is 37–41 g kg?1 in the diet of red tilapia.  相似文献

A 12‐week feeding trial was conducted to investigate the effects of two dietary probiotics; Bacillus subtilis KCTC 2217 or Bacillus licheniformis KCCM 11775 with two prebiotics; mannan oligosaccharide (MOS) or fructooligosaccharide (FOS) in Japanese eel. Fish averaging 12.8 ± 0.47 g (mean ± SD) were randomly distributed into five treatments with triplicate tanks. A basal control diet (CON) and four synbiotic diets supplementing B. subtilis + MOS (BSM), B. subtilis + FOS (BSF), B. licheniformis + MOS (BLM), and B. licheniformis + FOS (BLF). Weight gain and specific growth rate of fish fed all synbiotic diets were higher than those of fish fed CON. Immune‐related gene expression of heat shock protein 70 and immunoglobulin M of fish fed BSF and BLM were significantly higher than those of fish fed CON. Fish fed BSF and BLM had significantly higher intestinal villi length than those of fish fed BLF and CON (p < .05). Disease resistance against Aeromonas hydrophila of fish fed all synbiotic diets were significantly higher than those of fish fed CON (p < .05). Therefore, these results indicated that dietary B. subtilis with FOS (BSF) and B. licheniformis with MOS (BLM) could have beneficial effects on intestinal morphology, and immune‐related gene expression in Japanese eel.  相似文献

An 8‐week feeding trial was conducted to evaluate two vitamin C derivatives, L‐ascorbyl‐2‐monophosphate‐Mg (C2MP‐Mg) and L‐ascorbyl‐2‐monophosphate‐Na (C2MP‐Na), to satisfy the vitamin C requirement and to test their effects on the immune responses of juvenile grouper, Epinephelus malabaricus. C2MP‐Mg and C2MP‐Na were each supplemented at 20, 50, 80, 150, 250, and 400 mg kg?1 diet in the basal diet providing of 7, 18, 31, 51, 93, 145 mg ascorbic acid (AA) equivalent of C2MP‐Mg kg?1 diet and 4, 10, 17, 31, 47, 77 mg ascorbic acid (AA) equivalent of C2MP‐Na kg?1 diet, respectively. Basal diet without AA supplementation was included as control. Each diet was fed to triplicate groups of grouper (mean initial weight 3.20 ± 0.05 g). Fish fed diets supplemented with either C2MP‐Mg or C2MP‐Na had significantly (P < 0.05) greater weight gain (WG), feed efficiency and survival than those fed the unsupplemented control diet. Liver ascorbate concentrations in fish generally increased as dietary C2MP‐Mg or C2MP‐Na supplementation level increased. Haemolytic complement activity was higher in fish fed diets supplemented with 92 mg AA equivalent of C2MP‐Mg kg?1 or 10–17 mg AA equivalent of C2MP‐Na kg?1 than fish fed the unsupplemented control diet. Lysozyme activity was higher in fish fed ≥51 mg AA equivalent of C2MP‐Mg kg?1 or ≥47 mg AA equivalent of C2MP‐Na kg?1 than fish fed the unsupplemented control diet. Analysis by broken‐line regression of WG indicated that the adequate dietary vitamin C concentration from each vitamin C derivative in growing grouper is 17.9 mg AA equivalent of 2MP‐Mg kg?1 and 8.3 mg AA equivalent of C2MP‐Na kg?1, and it also indicated that C2MP‐Mg is about 46% as effective as C2MP‐Na in meeting the vitamin C requirement of grouper.  相似文献

The study was conducted using a completely randomized design with five treatments each with three replicates. In each treatment, 30 fish (10 per replicate) with an average body weight of 30 ± 0.6 g were randomly allocated to 60‐L tanks. Treatments consisted of a control (a diet without rutin and oxytetracycline (OTC)), an OTC treatment (a diet free from rutin and containing 75 mg kg?1 body weight OTC) and the (OTC + rutin) treatments including diets with different levels of rutin, 500 (R‐500 + OTC), 1000 (R‐1000 + OTC) and 2000 (R‐2000 + OTC) ppm and 75 mg kg?1 body weight per day OTC which were fed to fish for 28 days. The aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and alanine aminotransferase (ALT) activities in the blood serum after the OTC treatment were significantly (P < 0.05) higher than in the control. After the three (OTC+rutin) treatments, the AST and ALT activities were not significantly different from the control. The level of glucose in the blood serum was significantly lower (P < 0.05) in all treatments as compared to the OTC treatment. Superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase (CAT) activities in red erythrocyte lysates were significantly (P < 0.05) reduced after OTC treatment in comparison with the control. After the three (OTC+rutin) treatments, the values of these indices were significantly (P < 0.05) higher than the OTC treatment, in particular for the R‐1000 + OTC treatment. It seems that rutin, as a non‐enzymatic inhibitor, is capable of preventing damage to the liver tissue and reducing oxidative stress.  相似文献

A 9‐week feeding trial was conducted to determine the optimal dietary vitamin C requirement and its effects on serum enzymes activities and bacterial resistance in the juvenile yellow drum Nibea albiflora (initial weight 33.2 ± 0.10 g). Six practical diets were formulated containing vitamin C 2.1, 45.3, 89.6, 132.4, 178.6 and 547.1 mg kg?1 diet supplied as l ‐ascorbyl‐2‐monophosphate. The fish fed 547.1 mg kg?1 diet showed a significantly higher survival than that fed 2.1 mg kg?1 diet. The weight gains and specific growth rate of the fish fed 2.1 mg kg?1 diet were significantly lower than those of the fish fed 89.6–547.1 mg kg?1 diets. The liver vitamin C concentration firstly increased with increasing dietary vitamin C supply from 2.1 to 178.6 mg kg?1 diet and then stabilized. The serum superoxide dismutase activities of the fish fed 547.1 mg kg?1 diet were significantly lower than those of the fish fed 2.1–89.6 mg kg?1 diet. The fish fed 2.1 mg kg?1 diet had a significantly higher alkaline phosphatase activity than those in the other groups except the 45.3 mg kg?1 group. Fish that received diets containing vitamin C at 547.1 mg kg?1 had significantly higher nitro blue tetrazolium and lysozyme activity, and fish that received diets containing vitamin C at 45.3–547.1 mg kg?1 exhibited resistance against Vibrio alginolyticus infection. The dietary vitamin C requirement of the juvenile yellow drum was established based on broken‐line model of weight gain to be 142.2 mg l ‐ascorbyl‐2‐monophosphate kg?1 diet.  相似文献

The effect of various dietary starch to proteins ratios (STA/P) on growth performance, oxidative status and liver enzyme activities involved in intermediary metabolism in juvenile Nile tilapia was evaluated. Four isocaloric‐practical diets (12.73 MJ kg?1 digestible energy) with increasing STA/CP ratios were formulated. These were designated D0 (344 g crude protein (CP) and 163.5 g starch (STA) kg?1), D1 (310 g CP and 243 g STA kg?1), D2 (258 g CP and 322 g STA kg?1) and D3 (214 g CP and 401 g STA kg?1). Each diet was fed to triplicate groups of 60 fish (2.7 g) for 45 days. Compared with the control diet (D0), significantly (P < 0.05) depressed growth and feed efficiency were observed only in the groups fed on diet D3. The activities of hepatic enzymes involved in glycolysis and lipogenesis pathways were significantly enhanced in groups fed on diet D3 compared with other diets. A significant (P < 0.05) increase in catalase activity was detected only in groups fed on diet D3. Similarly, a significant (P < 0.05) enhancement in superoxyde dismutase, glutathione S‐transferases and glutathione peroxidise was observed in groups fed on diets D2 and D3 compared with other diets. Results demonstrate the ability of juvenile Nile tilapia to spare protein by dietary carbohydrate.  相似文献
