Proso millet (Panicum miliaceum L.) is a short-season grain crop in semi-arid regions of North and South America and Asia. The objective of this study was to evaluate seeding rates and nitrogen (N) fertilization on proso millet seed yield, crude protein levels, and biomass yield under irrigated and dryland conditions in a Mediterranean-type transition climate near Bursa, Turkey. Seeds per panicle, panicle length, seed weight per panicle, fertile tillers, protein yield, and plant height were also evaluated. Results indicated seeding rate did not affect seed yield significantly. Seed and protein yield increased with increasing N doses although biomass did not significantly increase. Panicle length, seeds per panicle, and seed weight per panicle decreased with increasing seeding rates. This study proved proso millet can be grown for grain and forage as a short-season dryland and irrigated rotational crop in a Mediterranean-type climate.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Field experiments involving proso millet (Panicum miliaceum L.) cultivar under four nitrogen (N) levels (N0, N60, N105 and N150) were conducted in 2015 and 2016 to explore the decrease in grain yield under N deficiency related to the changes in leaf photosynthetic characteristics, carbon (C)–N balance and N use efficiency. Results showed that N deficiency decreased the net photosynthesis rate, stomatal conductance, transpiration rate and chlorophyll content and increased the intercellular CO2 concentration of proso millet flag leaves from flowering to maturity. N deficiency negatively regulated the C–N balance and increased the C/N ratio by reducing the total N, soluble protein and soluble sugar contents, resulting in high starch content. N uptake and utilisation were significantly reduced because of less available N. Significantly positive correlations were observed between the grain yield and photosynthetic characteristics or N use efficiency, whereas a negative correlation was found between the grain yield and the C/N ratio. The yields generated by N0, N60 and N105 were lower than that of N150 in both years. The N fertiliser regression formulae developed in the study would provide useful information about the N fertiliser rate of proso millet.  相似文献

The genebank at ICRISAT conserves the largest collection of 23,092 pearl millet germplasm accessions originating in 52 countries. A total of 15,979 landraces originating in 34 countries and having geographic coordinates of the collection sites were selected to investigate the geographical distribution of pearl millet traits and diversity in the collection. Results revealed adaptation of pearl millet to latitudes ranging between 33.00°S and 36.91°N. Landraces with early flowering (33–40 days) were predominant in Pakistan, Ghana, Togo and India; with very late flowering (121–159 days) in Sierra Leone and the Central African Republic; with short plant height (80–100 cm) in India, Zambia and Sudan; with tallness (401–490 cm) in Chad, Burkina Faso, Nigeria and the Central African Republic; with high tillering (11–35) in India and Yemen; with high panicle exsertion (11–29 cm) in Ghana, Chad, India and Yemen; with long panicles (75–135 cm) in Nigeria and Niger; with thick panicles (41–58 mm) in Namibia, Togo and Zimbabwe and those with large seeds (16–19 g 1000 seeds?1) were predominant in Togo, Benin, Ghana and Burkina Faso. Collections from Ghana for flowering (36–150 days), Burkina Faso for plant height (80–490), India and Yemen for total (1–35) and productive (1–19) tillers per plant, Niger for panicle exsertion (?45 to 21.0), panicle length (9–135 cm) and thickness (12–55 mm) and Zimbabwe for 1000 seed weight (3.5–19.3 g), were found as important sources for trait diversity. Launching collection missions for trait-specific germplasm is suggested to enrich the world collection of pearl millet at ICRISAT genebank for diversity.  相似文献

Yemen differs considerably from many other countries in its extreme variation in elevation. A set of 229 pearl millet germplasm accessions collected from diverse elevations of Yemen was characterized for 12 morpho-agronomic characteristics at ICRISAT, Patancheru, India. Analysis of variance revealed highly significant differences (P < 0.001) among elevational zones for flowering, plant height and seed weight when evaluated in the post-rainy season and for panicle length and thickness when evaluated in the rainy season. The differential performance of accessions for flowering and plant height during the rainy and post-rainy seasons at ICRISAT, Patancheru reflected the photoperiod and temperature sensitivity of the accessions. Shannon-Weaver diversity indices indicated high diversity from low elevations for flowering and plant height. The results of the present study imply that environmental factors such as elevation, temperature and rainfall are the important determinants of variation patterns of pearl millet in Yemen and pearl millet germplasm from high elevations of Yemen is a good source for early maturity, cold tolerance, short plant height and large seeds.  相似文献

为了明确不同生态区谷子品种的遗传多样性和遗传结构,本研究对175份来源不同的谷子品种进行29个表型性状鉴定和36对简单序列重复(SSR)标记分析。结果表明,谷子数量性状的平均遗传多样性指数最高,质量性状最低;不同类性状中,单穗码数、开花至成熟日数和粒色遗传多样性指数最高,分别为2.082 8、2.012 5和1.078 7。36对SSR引物中,共检测到401个等位基因,平均11.4个,Shannon指数和多态性信息含量(PIC)平均为2.017 2和0.810 6;标记B142、B225的Shannon指数和PIC值最高,是评价谷子遗传多样性的理想SSR标记。不同生态区表型和SSR标记多样性比较结果表明,春谷中晚熟区(ML)遗传多样性指数最高,春谷早熟区(EM)次之,夏谷区(SS)最低;春谷中晚熟区谷子品种有10个性状指标最高,且全生育期最长。春谷中晚熟区不同类型材料中,汾阳的质量性状遗传多样性指数和SSR标记Shannon指数均最高,长治数量性状遗传多样性指数最高,太原Ⅱ的生育期遗传多样性指数最高;不同类型材料间差异较低,其中7个数量性状指标差异未达显著水平;汾阳的株高最高,出谷率最...  相似文献

Finger millet [Eleusine coracana (L.) Gaertn.] is an important cereal food crop in Africa and South Asia. It is a hardy crop that can be grown in very diverse environments from almost at sea level to about 2400 m.a.s.l. Finger millet has an excellent food value as its seeds contain protein ranging from 7 to 14% and are particularly rich in methionine amino acid, iron, and calcium. Despite all these merits, this crop has been neglected from the main stream of crop improvement research. One of the means to boost its production and productivity is to enhance utilization of finger millet germplasm to breed superior varieties. Keeping this objective in view, a core subset of finger millet germplasm (622 accessions) based on origin and data on 14 quantitative traits was developed from the entire global collection of 5940 accessions held in the genebank at ICRISAT, Patancheru, India. The comparison of means, variances, frequency distribution, Shannon-Weaver diversity index (H′) and phenotypic correlations indicated that the core subset represents the entire collection. These tests indicated that sampling was optimal and the diversity has been captured very well in the core subset. The correlation analysis indicated that panicle exsertion and longest finger length could be given lower priority in the future germplasm evaluation work of finger millet.  相似文献

碳捕集与封存(Carbon Capture and Storage,CCS)技术是近年来迅速发展的温室气体减排措施,是以煤为主的中国重要的战略性减排技术之一,减排量巨大。但是,CCS发展备受争议,其泄漏有可能会对周围生态系统尤其是结构单一的农田生态系统造成严重影响。本研究以北方地区主要粮食作物粟为试验对象,自主设计模拟地质封存CO2泄漏盆栽试验,通过对植物生育期SPAD(叶绿素相对含量)、株高、根系以及产量、穗部特征等指标的观测,分析粟对CCS泄漏的响应。结果表明:(1)受CCS泄漏的影响,植物粟SPAD值显著降低,植株叶片叶绿素含量极显著下降(P<0.01)。(2)CCS泄漏发生30d后粟的株高显著下降,根分支显著增加,植株受泄漏影响明显。(3)CCS泄漏显著降低了植株地上部干重和鲜重,但是泄漏对地下部鲜重无显著影响,地下部干重较地上部降幅偏小。(4)CCS泄漏影响下,植株粟产量下降34.92%。此外,CCS泄漏下植株穗长、穗粗、总粒重等农艺性状下降显著。  相似文献

为探究安全剂与除草剂复配施用对除草剂药害的缓解以及对糜子田土壤酶活性、根系活性氧代谢和糜子生长发育的影响。于2019年5~10月在陕西省榆林市小杂粮试验示范站进行试验,选用糜子品种''榆糜2号''为试验材料,选取苗前除草剂:谷友(10%单嘧磺隆,2.4 kg/hm2)与3种安全剂:芸苔素(300 mL/hm2)、赤霉素(300 mL/hm2)、奈安(1.2 kg/hm2)复配使用,设置清水不除草对照与人工除草对照。测定杂草鲜重防效、药害指数、根际土壤酶活性、糜子根系抗氧化酶活性与丙二醛含量及糜子农艺性状与产量。结果表明:1)芸苔素、赤霉素、奈安与单嘧磺隆复配后药害指数显著下降,分别降低了20.27%、21.63%、20.94%;2)单嘧磺隆处理(H1)的土壤蔗糖酶、脲酶活性在施药后7~42 d时相较于处理CK1被显著抑制,活性抑制率随时间降低,添加安全剂后土壤蔗糖酶和脲酶活性显著提升,抑制率显著降低;3)与单施除草剂相比,安全剂复配施用的糜子根系SOD活性在施药后14~28 d时显著升高;CAT活性显著降低;MDA含量明显降低;4)单嘧磺隆导致糜子株高、穗长、主穗质量降低,安全剂复配施用减少了除草剂的不利影响,其中单嘧磺隆与赤霉素复配施用产量最高,达5 035 kg/hm2,较CK1增产1 114 kg/hm2,较单施单嘧磺隆处理的增产1 061 kg/hm2。安全剂与单嘧磺隆复配使用能延缓单嘧磺隆对糜子根际土壤酶活性的抑制,提高土壤蔗糖酶、脲酶活性,提高糜子根系SOD活性,减缓了药害胁迫造成的膜脂过氧化作用,减少细胞膜系统的损伤,延缓了根系衰老进程,提高了糜子的株高、茎粗、穗长、主穗质量及产量。其中赤霉素与单嘧磺隆复配使用在缓解除草剂药害,促进糜子增产方面效果较好。  相似文献

以转拟南芥AtNPR1基因的恢复系品种桂99T3代纯合株系为材料,考查其农艺性状及其抗病性,并比较转基因植株与桂99侵染水稻白叶枯病菌后的农艺性状。结果表明:转基因植株表现出对水稻白叶枯病的抗性显著增强77%以上;穗长、剑叶长、有效穗数、一次枝梗数、每穗实粒数、单株产量和谷粒宽等农艺性状与未转基因桂99无显著差别。在受到水稻白叶枯病菌侵染后,转基因植株的一次枝梗数、每穗粒数、每穗实粒数和单株产量等方面均比对照桂99高出13%~78%。说明AtNPR1基因增强了水稻的抗病能力,从而降低了病害引起的产量损失。转基因植株的恢复力不受影响,稻米品质比桂99更加优良。本工作为转基因水稻抗病育种的研究奠定了基础。  相似文献

本试验对50个IR_24水稻辐射早熟突变系的早熟性状进行了田间观察和相关分析,其中的某些突变系相当于迟熟早稻和早熟中稻的生态遗传型,并有一定的应用价值。早熟突变系生育期缩短与主茎节数、主茎叶片数减少,叶长、穗长变短,每穗粒数、单株产量和二次枝梗数降低,蛋白质含量增加的关系,经相关分析表明,呈显著相关,而与其他性状,如有效穗数、实粒数等无明显的相关关系。分析早熟性状的遗传参数表明,生育期、株高、每穗粒数、千粒重等有较高的广义遗传力。不实率、二次枝梗数、每穗总粒数的遗传变异系数较大,遗传进度也较高,具有显著的遗传效应。  相似文献

Jhinuwa is an aromatic rice (Oryza sativa L.) landrace from the Pokhara Valley of Nepal. A total of 210 accessions comprising seven types of Jhinuwa rice landraces were randomly collected from the rice fields to evaluate inter- and intra-population variability based on agro-morphological traits. The experiment was conducted in factorial randomized complete block design with three replicates in 2005. The first six principal components (PCs) accounted for 76.6 % variation for agro-morphological traits. Major traits that accounted for the variation by six PCs includes days to heading, days to maturity, total grain panicle?1, fertile grain panicle?1, culm length, panicle length, milling recovery, head rice recovery, aroma, 1,000 grain weight, sterile grain panicle?1, grain sterility %, and leaf characteristics. Both principal coordinate analysis and cluster analyses revealed four phenotypic groups, two of which represent Bayarni, Jhinuwa, and Biramphul while the other two account for Tunde and Pakho Tunde. Tunde, Pakho Tunde, Kalo Bayarni, and Seto Bayarni showed higher intra- as well as inter-population variation compared to other populations. The phenotypic and genotypic coefficients of variation, broad sense heritability (h 2B) and genetic advance (GA) as a percent of the mean assessed for 210 accessions revealed high h 2B and GA estimates for leaf width, leaf length breadth ratio, ligule length, sterile grain panicle?1, grain sterility % and 1,000 grain weight. The current study demonstrates that improvement in Jhinuwa rice landrace is possible by selecting superior accessions from existing natural populations while selection should be focussed to market traits with higher h 2B and GA estimates.  相似文献

An European maize (Zea mays L.) landrace core collection (EMLCC) was formed with samples from several countries. Evaluation of the EMLCC may contribute to broad the genetic base of maize breeding programs. The objective of this study was to assess the variability of EMLCC under low nitrogen (N) in relation to high N input. Eighty-five landraces of the EMLCC, grouped in four maturity groups, and three check hybrids were evaluated for response to low (0 kg ha−1) and high (150 kg ha−1) N in Spain and Greece. Five plant size traits (plant height, ear height, leaf length, leaf width and leaf area index), two grain traits (1000-kernel weight and grain yield), and two agronomic traits [growing degree units (GDU) and lodging] were studied. Overall means of plant size and grain traits increased when genotypes were grown at 150-N relative to 0-N input. The relative increase for grain traits was smaller in landraces than in hybrids. This suggests that landraces had lower grain yield response to N supply compared to hybrids. Linear regressions of plant size traits on GDU indicated that vegetative development was primarily associated with flowering lateness. The maturity group was the main source of variation for all traits. Landrace variability within maturity groups was significant for all traits across environments, despite significant landrace × environment interactions. Estimates of genetic and genotype × environment variances, and heritabilities at both high and low N inputs were not significantly different from each other. However estimates were generally larger at high N. Genetic and phenotypic correlation coefficients between the two N levels were very high for all traits.  相似文献

为探究既能抑制谷子植株的贪青徒长,又不影响谷子产量的最佳多效唑和乙烯利处理,以农大8号为试验材料,采用随机区组设计,在谷子不同生育时期分别叶面喷施多效唑和乙烯利,研究2种植物生长调节剂单施[多效唑分别于拔节期前(A1)、拔节期(A2)、孕期期(A3)喷施;乙烯利分别于孕穗期(B1)、抽穗期(B2)、灌浆期(B3)喷施]和互作(A1B1、A1B2、A1B3、A2B1VA2B2、A2B3VA3B1、A3B2、A3B3)对谷子穗颈、穗部性状及灌浆的影响。结果表明,多效唑、乙烯利单施处理下,谷子穗颈粗、穗颈干物质显著提高,但其他穗颈参数无显著差异;谷子穗粗显著增加,在A1处理下达到最大值,较CK增加5.39%,穗重、穗粒重均在B2处理下最高,较CK分别增加7.25%、6.94%,穗长、穗码数无显著差异;籽粒灌浆速率有所提高,但秕谷率无显著变化。多效唑、乙烯利互作处理下,谷子穗颈粗、穗颈抗折力及干物质重显著增加,穗颈弯曲力矩、穗颈重心高度及含水量明显下降;谷子的穗长、穗码数显著减少,穗粗显著增加,在A1B3处理下达到最大,与CK相比,其穗长、穗码数分别减少20.11%、9.75%,穗粗增加10.15%,穗重、穗粒重均在A2B2处理下达到最大值,较CK分别增加11.45%、9.50%;随着籽粒灌浆速率的提高,秕谷率显著降低,在A2B2处理下达到最小值,较CK降低50.00%。表明与单施相比,两种调节剂互作效应更显著。在谷子拔节期前或拔节期喷施300 mg·L-1多效唑后,在抽穗期或灌浆期追施400 mg·L-1乙烯利最为适宜,而在孕穗期追施乙烯利会降低穗粒重,导致产量下降。本研究结果为谷子的化学调控和高产栽培提供了理论依据。  相似文献

选取已连续7代自交纯化,并结合GUS标记辅助选择,所获得的26份独立豌豆铁蛋白(pea ferritin, Fer)转基因水稻纯系,以秀水11为CK,就外源基因(Fer)导入可能产生对稻米Fe含量、重要农艺性状、稻米品质性状、植株耐逆性状的影响进行研究。结果表明:转基因纯系的精米平均总铁含量为10.37ug/g,仅有4份(即Fer34、Fer 36、Fer 39、Fer 65)显著高于CK(6.46ug/g),其余22份与CK无显著差异;主要农艺性状上,除单株穗数和剑叶长等2个性状的所有纯系与CK无显者差异外,播抽天数、株高、主穗长、主穗总粒数、结实率、千粒重和单株产量等7个性状均有少量纯系与CK存在显著差异,表明外源基因的导入可能对纯系有关农艺性状存在影响,但尚未发现经济性状显著变劣的纯系;稻米品质性状上,所有纯系的糙米率、精米率、整精米率、米粒长、米粒宽、米粒长/宽比等6个性状均与CK相仿,而在垩白粒率、垩白度、碱消值、胶稠度和直链淀粉性状等5个性状方面,有部分纯系发生了显著变异,其变化缺乏明显的规律性;耐逆性状方面,转基因纯系间的耐冷、热害程度变异,与稻米铁含量变化并无显著相关性,但转基因纯系间对稻瘟病、白叶枯病和褐稻虱抗(耐)性有随着稻米铁含量增加而减轻危害的趋势。本文还就有关转基因纯系重要生物学性状变异可能产生原因和外源基因作用等问题进行了讨论。  相似文献

Most of the pearl millet (Pennisetum glaucum (L.) R. Br.) growing areas in Central African Republic (CAR) were explored by the GRD, ICRISAT in collaboration with the Ministry of Rural Development, CAR, Bangui and 129 pearl millet samples were collected during December 1988–January 1989. Considerable diversity was observed for several characters when 146 accessions including 17 collected by Institut francais de recherche scientifique pour le développement en coopération (ORSTOM) were evaluated at ICRISAT Asia Center (IAC), Patancheru. Time to flower ranged from 57 to 140 days with a mean of 128±1.1 days in rainy season and from 57 to 132 days with a mean of 73±0.8 days during postrainy season. Plant height ranged from 140 to 410 cm with a mean of 311±6.1 cm in the rainy season and from 75 to 310 cm with a mean of 155±2.6 cm during the postrainy season. The number of tillers varied between 1 to 6 per plant, spikes were mostly cylindrical and medium sized with a mean length of 20 cm during both seasons. They produced mostly gray or cream colored, globular grain, with partly corneous endosperm. Cluster analysis categorized accessions into similarity groups facilitating sampling a limited number of entries to represent the diversity of the pearl millet germplasm from Central African Republic.Submitted as ICRISAT Journal Article No. 1807.  相似文献

应用半双列杂交的设计分析了采用直接辐射诱变育成的水稻长穗颈不育系的 1 9个农艺性状的配合力。分析表明 ,含有eui1基因的长穗颈不育系Ⅱ 32eA1的株高、穗颈伸出度、剑叶、倒 2叶、穗长、倒 1节、着粒密度及生育期等 8个性状的一般配合力效应值表现不同于Ⅱ 32A ;而含eui2基因的协青早eA2只有株高、倒 1节、生育期的一般配合力效应值同协青早A差异显著。两个长穗颈不育系的株高、穗颈伸出度、剑叶长、倒 2叶、倒 3叶、穗长、倒 1节、倒 2节、倒 4节、倒 5节、千粒重和结实率等性状的一般配合力效应值都大于原不育系。其余性状一般配合力效应值的变化依两个长穗颈不育系有所不同。结果表明 ,采用核辐射诱变的育种技术路线选育水稻长穗颈不育系是可行有效的。  相似文献

A total of 179 garlic (Allium sativum L.) accessions were collected from various parts of Nepal in 2000. Each accession was planted in each of a plot of 2.25 m2 at the Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science (IAAS) Horticulture farm (225 m asl) and at the Agriculture Research Station, Dailekh (1400 m asl) of Nepal Agriculture Research Council (NARC) in the first week of November 2000. All accessions were characterized for leaf erectness, leaf color, leaf wax, leaf cross section, bulb regularity, bulb skin color, bulb outer scales number, days to emergence, bulbing period, number of green leaves at 135 days after planting, days to maturity, plant height, bulb weight, bulb diameter, number of cloves per bulb, clove diameter and bulb yield. Data were analyzed by using principal component and cluster analysis procedures to reveal three major clusters. Four principal components were identified explaining more than 86% of total variation. Major characters included in the principal components were bulb weight, diameter, yield, number of cloves per bulb, maturity, plant height, number of green leaves at 135 days after planting, and bulbing period. The level of variation found in the collection showed the great potentiality of improving agronomic characters in garlic.  相似文献

Finger millet (Eleusine coracana), an allotetraploid cereal, is widely cultivated in the arid and semiarid regions of the world. Being rich in protein and calcium, finger millet serves as an important staple food for rural populations in developing tropical countries where calcium deficiency and anemia are wide spread. Thirty-two finger millet genotypes were fingerprinted using 50 random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) markers. Out of the total 529 loci generated using the 50 RAPD primers, 479 loci (91%) were polymorphic and informative to differentiate the accessions. Cluster analysis grouped the 32 finger millet accessions into two major clusters. Among the 32 finger millet genotypes, GEC 182 and CO 12 were distantly related with a low similarity index of 0.315. These two accessions also differed considerably in days to flowering and grain weight; GEC 182 is early flowering and has bold grains, while CO 12 is late flowering and has smaller grains. These two accessions with higher diversity at molecular level, phenology and grain weight will be ideal as parents in hybridization programme, to develop improved finger millet varieties suitable for peninsular region of India.  相似文献

为探讨不同粳糯性糜子干物质积累、产量及氮素利用效率对不同供氮水平的响应,本研究通过两年田间试验,以粳性糜子品种陇糜13号和糯性糜子品种陇糜14号为试验材料,设置45(N1)、90(N2)和135 kg·hm-2(N3)3个供氮水平,以不施氮为对照(CK),研究不同供氮水平下不同粳糯性糜子在开花期和成熟期的干物质积累与转运、农艺性状及产量的变化,分析氮素积累量、氮肥农学利用效率、氮肥偏生产力、氮素利用率及氮肥表观利用效率对施氮的响应。结果表明,随着施氮量的增加,不同粳糯性糜子的地上部各器官干重呈单峰曲线变化,在N2下,开花期和成熟期糜子的茎秆干重、叶片干重、茎鞘干重和穗干重均显著高于CK(P<0.05);随着施氮量的增加,不同粳糯性糜子的氮肥偏生产力呈降低趋势,而氮素利用效率呈先降低后升高的趋势;N2可以显著提高不同粳糯性糜子的株高、茎粗、穗长、单穗粒重、千粒重及产量,也可提升氮肥农学利用效率和氮肥表观利用率。两年数据表明,N2(90 kg·hm-2)下陇糜13号的农艺性状、产量及氮素利用效率均优于陇糜14号。综上,本研究条件下,甘肃省会宁地区糜子的推荐氮肥施用量为90 kg·hm-2,这对西北地区种植不同粳糯性糜子具有生产指导意义。  相似文献
