Many features of the alpine soils of NE. Scotland are related to altitude. The deep contemporary humose A horizon has formed in Post-Boreal to recent times. Its formation was preceded by a phase of profile development characterized by very scanty A horizon development. This phase was interrupted by a stage of frost disturbance, probably equated with the Highland Re-advance. The earliest part of the pedogenetic cycle is represented only by cryogenic redistribution of the fine fraction, within the parent material column, which occurred between 12,000 and 28,000 B.P.  相似文献

Taxonomic distances between pairs of soil orders in the Russian soil classification system have been calculated using a methodology suggested for calculation of taxonomic distances between the Reference Soil Groups in the international soil classification system (WRB). Basing on the data obtained, some proposals for the development of the Russian soil classification system have been formulated. Most of the orders are characterized by considerable taxonomic distances between them, and their identification in the classification system is doubtless. Small taxonomic distances are characteristic of the following pairs of orders: organo-accumulative and structural-metamorphic soils, hydrometamorphic soils and lithozems, and cryometamorphic and eluvial soils. Therefore, criteria for defining some orders, and/or profile formulas for some soil types composing the orders may be revised. The comparison of taxonomic distances between soil orders in the Russian system and between Reference Soil Groups in the international system allows us to suggest their certain similarity.  相似文献

Automorphic loamy soils of the northern taiga and forest-tundra zones in the northeastern part of European Russia are characterized. These soils are diagnosed by the presence of a paragenetic system of the podzolic (often, with gley features) and iron-illuvial horizons combined with a specific cryometamorphic CRM horizon. The podzolic horizon is considerably impoverished in the total and oxalate-extractable iron and slightly impoverished in aluminum and clay in comparison with the iron-illuvial horizon. A distinctive feature of the cryometamorphic horizon is its fine angular blocky, ooidal, or granulated structure in the dry state and curdled cryogenic structure in the wet state. The soil profile is relatively weakly differentiated with respect to the contents of clay and sesquioxides. The genesis of these soils is related to a combination of the gley-Al-Fe-humus mobilization, migration, and illuvial accumulation of substances and the cryogenic structuring. According to the new Classification and Diagnostic System of Russian Soils, these soils fit the criteria of iron-illuvial svetlozems in the order of cryometamorphic soils. In the studied area, these soils are found together with texture-differentiated gley-podzolic soils having the Bt horizon and belonging to the order of texture-differentiated soils.  相似文献

The soils in the area of the northern pole of cold located on the interfluve between the Yana and Adycha rivers within the spurs of Kisilyakh Ridge included in the mountain system of Cherskii Ridge have been studied for the first time. The profile-genetic approach has been applied to describe the soils and determine their classification position. It is found that the major soil types in this region are the soils of the postlithogenic trunk belonging to the orders of lithozems (Cryic Leptosols), gley soils (Gleyic Skeletic Cryosols), and Al–Fe-humus soils (Spodic Skeletic Cryosols). The ecological ranges of altitudinal zones— the taiga zone with various types of lithozems below 630–700 m a.s.l. and the tundra zone with combinations of gley and nongley cryogenic soils above these heights—have been established. The development of gley or nongley soils is specified by the local orogenic and lithological conditions and slope aspect, which, in turn, control the degree of drainage and the presence and character of permafrost. In the profile of mountainous gley soils (gleyzems) with shallow ice-rich permafrost, cryogenic processes and features typical of the analogues of these soils on plains—cryogenic cracking, cryoturbation, solifluction, thixotropy, oxiaquic features above permafrost, saturation of the soil profile with mobile humus, etc.—are typical.  相似文献

Physical and chemical analyses of five geographically associated Solonetzic and Chernozemic Black soil profiles from the glacial Lake Edmonton basin were conducted to investigate the mechanisms operative in their genesis. Soils, classified as Black Solonetz and Black Solodized Solonetz, satisfied both morphological and chemical criteria as set forth by the National Soil Survey Committee of Canada for soils of the Solonetzic Order. The lack of pronounced solodization in the Bnt horizons of these soils was attributable to the proximity of bedrock to the surface which prevented the removal of Na salts from the profile. A high content of exchangeable Na in the Bnt horizons appeared to have assisted the comminution of coarse clay particles to fine clay particles. The soil, classified as Saline Black, had the chemical properties but lacked the morphology of Solonetzic soils. Two Eluviated Black profiles were genetically different from each other. While the Eluviated Black profile in one case was completely solodized and appeared to be regrading towards the normal soil type, the soil at the other site had features that reflected the influence of weak solonetzic processes.  相似文献

Soil development on Wallagaraugh Adamellite has been studied within Yambulla State Forest, southeastern Australia. Twenty-five soil profiles have been described and soil chemical and physical properties determined for selected horizons. A geomorphological model is described for elucidating processes affecting soil development on this adamellite parent material. Three main geomorphic environments have been incorporated into this model: residual surfaces found on interfluves and broad hillcrests, transportational surfaces associated with ridges and hill slopes, and depositional surfaces associated with foot-slopes and valley floors. Residual surfaces have developed duplex primary profile forms (yellow podzolics) with structured B horizons of high clay content where exchangeable Al dominates the exchange complex. Transportational surfaces have soils with shallow, uniform to gradational profiles with minimal profile development, and highest, but most variable, concentrations of the exchangeable Ca, K, Na, and total P. Depositional surfaces are characterized by a thick accumulation of uniform, coarse-sandy colluvium-alluvium. Where this surface is stable and well drained, podzols have formed. In contrast, areas of impeded drainage on this depositional surface have humic gley profiles. Concentrations of total P, exchangeable Ca and Mg are low throughout these aggraded soils.The soil-landscape units derived from the geomorphological model are discriminated by multivariate analysis using soil chemical and physical properties. Surface soil chemical properties are shown to be superior in discriminating soil-landscape units to subsoil properties.The mineralogy, geochemistry and texture of the adamellite soil parent material are critical in determining the distinctive geomorphology which, in turn, affects the development of soils in this forest environment.  相似文献

天山中段乌鲁木齐河河源区,经历多次冰川作用,冰碛物自冰川末端外延12km。其上土壤发育与生物发展同步进行。在光秃的冰碛石表面,首先出现微生物群落和藻类群落,继之生长地衣和苔藓,最后演化为高山和亚高山草甸植被。与植物同步进化的原始土、新成土、寒冻雏形土,(A)-C型在先,A-C型继后,最终发育成A-(B)-C型。这些土壤具有负温和含冰的土体,土壤冻结-融化-冻结,常发生冰-水-冰的相态变化,表土产生冻胀丘、石环、A层呈鳞片状结构,土壤腐殖化程度低,矿物分解弱,粗骨性强。剖面分异状况由弱到强,原始土壤无发育层次,寒冻正常新成土腐殖层明显,草毡寒冻雏形土的A层和B层发育较为完善。  相似文献

基于分形理论,对中国土壤空间分布的分形性质进行了定量研究,所得结论为:(1)中国土壤空间分形结构特征客观存在,南方水稻土、黄刚土等53类土壤斑块的周长-面积关系客观存在;(2)中国各土壤类型中,寒漠土分维最大,为1.952,灰漠土分维最小,为1.158;寒漠土斑块镶嵌结构最复杂,灰漠土斑块镶嵌结构最简单;(3)随着我国土壤类型从华南→东北→西北的变化,土壤类型空间分布的分维总体增大;在青藏高原区,各土壤分维出现垂直与水平的复合分布,随着地势自东南向西北的逐渐升高,土壤分维总体变大;(4)中国各土壤类型中,寒漠土稳定性指数值最大,为0.452 4,其斑块镶嵌结构稳定性最高,灰褐土斑块镶嵌结构稳定性最低,稳定性指数值为0.001 3;(5)随着我国土壤类型由南向东北的变化,各土壤类型斑块镶嵌结构的稳定性指数总体变小;在青藏高原区,由东南向西北,各土壤类型斑块镶嵌结构的稳定性指数总体变大;(6)就中国土壤类型的空间分布而言,中国土壤类型斑块空间分布的几何属性对其分维大小可能有直接的影响。  相似文献

A number of minor elements was determined in 21 samples of several soil profiles of a young pedomorphic surface on basalt, Upper Galilee, Israel, ranging from red basaltic Lithosols to lithic Red Mediterranean soils and montmorillonitic Grumusols (Xerorthents, Lithic Xerochrepts, and Chromoxererts).Strontium and to a lesser extent barium are lost during the weathering of the feldspars; Sr continues to be leached out on the slope. Titanium concentrates in the non-clay residue and follows iron during its redistribution on the slope. Manganese is more mobile than iron. Cobalt is partially correlated with manganese, but like Ni, Cr, Cu and V, these elements do not show any definite trend and appear to be rather immobile under the moderate weathering conditions of the Mediterranean environment where montmorillonite is the major clay mineral.  相似文献

The ages of organic matter of some dark-colored horizons and calcareous concretions in some Vertisols from tropical,subtropical and warm-temperate zones of China were studied using radiocarbon dating method.The relationship between soil age and genesis of Vertisols was also expounded based on the study of their genetic characteristics and micromorphological features.The results show that although Vertisols have developed for a relatively long time,their weathering and soil forming process are weak and young with little horizonation.This is closely related to their special grochemical soil forming environment.Low-lying terrain,heavy texture,clay minerals dominated by montmorillonites and alternative drying-wetting climate give rise to the vertic features expressed in intense swelling-shrinking and cracking-closing in soils.As a result,the soil development and soil leaching process are resisted,and the climatic effect on the horizonation is impeded.Moreover,pedoturbation eliminates the horizonation in the upper part of soil profile,and postpones their evolution into zonal soils.So vertisols show certain pedogenic inertia and stay at relatively young developmental stage.Therefore,Vertisols are intrazonal soils dominated by local soil forming factors such as the relief and parent materials.  相似文献

本文叙述了我国黄土地区主要类型土壤中天然放射性元素的含量水平、迁移积聚和剖面分布情况。研究结果表明,本地区土壤放射性元素的含量、比值和离散程度均接近其黄土母质,但各土类间仍表现出一定的分异,在弱碱性的土壤环境里,以(UO2)^2+存在的铀比较活跃。碳酸盐能促使铀的淋滤,而有机质的存在却有利于铀的积聚。钍和镭集中积蓄在富含粘粒的土层中,但在林地土壤中钍有淋移的迹象。从各核素的剖面分布看,土壤在发育过  相似文献

黄绵土是在黄土母质上形成的幼年土壤,没有明显的发育层次,不具有地带性土壤剖面特征,土壤性状与母质类似,剖面层次由Ap—C层或A—C层组成。根据土壤诊断层和诊断剖面特性划分为原始黄绵土和淡黄绵土两个亚类。以作物生长季节(4—9月)土壤水热状况划分温灌黄绵土、温潮黄绵土、温润黄绵土、温干黄绵土、凉润黄绵土、凉干黄绵土等土属。以表层土壤质地和有机质含量的等级差异和组合划分出28个土种。黄绵土的分布,在延安以南海拔低于1200米以下的地区,阴、阳坡土壤均属温潮黄绵土,再向北,阴坡为温润黄绵土,阳坡为温干黄绵土。海拔高度在1400米以上阴阳坡两边的土壤属凉干黄绵土,阴凉沟底地土壤属凉润黄绵土。河川地土壤通常为温灌黄绵土。  相似文献

A comprehensive understanding of the hydrothermal properties of soil is required to model heat distribution in unsaturated soils. In this study, we aim to model heat distribution throughout the profile of unfrozen soil while its thermal diffusivity varies with time and depth. The proposed model is based on the fundamental solution of the one‐dimensional transient heat conduction equation using the decomposition method. We calibrate our model using experimental data from soils of different textures in the literature. The new model can estimate soil thermal diffusivity at different depths and times and uses easily accessible characteristics such as the degree of saturation and the texture of the soil. In this study, the performance of the new model is compared to the performance of the simplified model in which constant thermal diffusivity is considered throughout the profile. Moreover, the model is validated by comparing it with in‐situ temperature measurements within depth of soil profiles with different textures. The results show a very good agreement between the predicted and the measured temperature throughout the soil profiles. Such a validation shows that with increasing degree of soil saturation, depletions in temperature for fine‐textured soils are more significant than those for coarse‐textured soils. Finally, the new model is applied to a double‐layer soil in the Alsace region to define temperature variation in the profile of soil with different characteristics in each layer. For a double‐layer profile, the continuity of the temperature as well as the heat flux is verified at the interface between the two layers.  相似文献

本文研究了我国西南地区变性土的形成条件和发育程度,并结合世界主要分类系统进行了分类研究。结果表明,相对于地带性土壤而言,变性土风化成土作用较弱,发育程度较低,土壤中元素的淋溶迁移及相对富集程度也远低于地带性土壤。由于粘粒含量尤其是粘粒矿物组成的差异,变性土表现出极高的膨胀潜势。通过研究,本文还对我国土壤系统分类中变性土土钢、亚纲、土类等的划分标准和依据及变性土性土的确立等提出了见解。  相似文献

Differences in the chemical composition of soils developed from sorted sands of different origins are revealed. The iron-illuvial podzols on rich glaciofluvial and marine sands are characterized by well-pronounced Al-Fe-humus differentiation of the Si, Al, and Fe in the soil profile. These soils are relatively similar in their bulk elemental composition. The difference between them is seen in the degree of differentiation of the soil profiles; it is stronger in the soils developed from glaciofluvial deposits. This is particularly true with respect to the oxalate-soluble iron and aluminum hydroxides. The deposits derived from the red-colored Tersk sandstone and processed by the sea (in the coastal zone of the White Sea) have the poorest chemical composition. In the soils developed from them, the differentiation of oxalate-soluble compounds is slightly pronounced (for Fe) or completely absent (for Si and Al). These soils can be classified as podzolized ferruginous red-colored psammozems (within the order of poorly developed soils) with the following horizons: O-Ce-Cf-C. The Ce horizon has the features of podzolization, and the Cf horizon has some features attesting to the illuvial accumulation of Fe. The profile of these soils inherits a reddish tint from the parent material.  相似文献

Specific features of soil formation in the taiga zone of Western Siberia are considered. The polygenetic nature of podzolic and gley-podzolic soils in the middle taiga zone, soddy-podzolic and soddy gley soils in the southern taiga zone, and meadow soils in the subtaiga zone is related to the pre-Holocene transformation of the lithogenic matrix upon activation of denudation and accumulation processes and the complicated Holocene evolution of these soils. A soil profile can be subdivided into separate layers according to the geomorphic features of the cryogenesis, the indices of interruption of soil formation, and the differences in the composition of the organic matter in the relict and modern humus horizons.  相似文献

The natural soil cover of a territory is transformed during the formation of landscape architecture objects. Natural soils are replaced by anthropogenically transformed soils and soil-like bodies. Due to technological features, either only surface horizons of natural soils or an entire range of horizons within a significant profile can be replaced. To determine the extent of transformation, the composition of inclusions of anthropogenically transformed and anthropogenic soils of the museum-estate Arkhangelskoe was studied. The study results were used to assess the extent of soil contamination and to determine the features of the composition of anthropogenic inclusions. A practical proposal on research on the coarse fraction inclusions of the soil was made.  相似文献
