Abstract:This paper studied the relationship between the spectral reflectance and soil salinity of seashore saline soil in Jiangsu Province. The PLSR and SMLR model were used respectively to construct the models to predict soil salinity based on different selection of calibration and validation sample sets. The results show that PLSR method is better than the SMLR. The high RPD and R2p of the validation results indicate that the VIS-NIR reflectance spectroscopy can be used to accurately predict soil EC, which provides a new method to monitor soil salinity in a rapid and non-destructive way, and a new basis to map regional salinization by remotely sensed satellite data.
Keywords:Coastal saline soil  Vis-NIR spectroscopy  Prediction  Electric conductivity  Partial least square regression
